From time to time, we feel that maybe God is not listening to us, then our doubts begin to grow, reaching the point where we question ourselves…

Does God really exist?

When I am bombarded with these uncertainties, I am reminded of why I believe in God and accepted Jesus, the irrefutable proof I have of His existence - my experiences with Him.

"Yet hope returns when I remember this one thing:

The Lord's unfailing love and mercy still continue,

     Fresh as the morning, as sure as the sunrise.

     The Lord is all I have, and so in him I put my hope.."

Lamentations 3:21-24 GNT.

I remember how I was before, an extremely anxious and perfectionist person. I cherished my pride so much that it destroyed me, I had a false sense of humility hidden behind my shyness.

I started having anxiety attacks, pure panic out of nowhere. I thought I was going to die from how hard my heart was beating and how weak my breathing was. I hid it until I couldn't take it anymore, then I went to the psychologist.

I thought I would get a magical solution, in a snap of fingers everything would be fine. She gave me advice on how to deal with the problem. The treatment was good, I don't have anything bad to say about it, however I couldn't settle for having to put up with this problem for the rest of my life.

So, I started watching sermons online, attending church, I listened to the Word so much that the faith in me lit up and I accepted Jesus.

I took courage and believed in the God of the impossible to cure me of anxiety, after much prayer and facing the problem with the Word, I won this battle and today I am free!

For me, my journey so far crushes any doubt. I couldn't save myself, the others could only help me…but my hero, my prince charming, my savior that I was waiting for is Jesus Christ.

Don't let yourself be consumed by doubts. God not only listens to you, He answers you and loves you! It may take a while for you to see His action, but I believe that from the second we finished our prayer, God has already stood up to defend us!

We have a huge difficulty in believing what we don't see, but we were called to do just that - to believe without seeing.

It is invisible to our eyes, so we don't live by sight, we live by faith - the basis and beginning of the entire Christian walk. We have never seen God, but we believe with all our hearts that He is real and He loves us. For unbelievers it is madness, for us our faith is the purest truth.

"Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see."

Hebrews 11:1 NIV.
