Hi friends! I wanted to assure you all that I've been working away at the second arc! Here's a snippet of the rough draft of the script that I've been working on the past month. The basic skeleton of the story has mostly been planned out--now I need to start adding meat, so to speak.
Starting with a script is something new that I'm trying out for this arc. The last arc went from plot outline straight to drawing, which resulted in me almost losing control of how the story progressed. It was a happy mistake, since I think the story came out more interesting than what it would've been, but this time I want to be able to rein in my characters a bit better. I want to work with them and see where we can take the plot, rather than desperately chase after them as they trample all over my drafts. We'll see how it goes this time.
After I polish up the script, I'll start designing characters and making concept art, and then I'll start drafting the actual manga. I'll post updates whenever I reach a new phase so y'all can join me on this new adventure!
Born in a frigid world where the Sun never shines, thirteen-year-old Rea grows up watching her mama create intricate glass jewels, and is fascinated by the ancient legends these jewels portray. Life seems simple—until a troop of soldiers raids her home and arrests her mama. Determined to save her only family, Rea recreates jewels for a lieutenant in exchange for her mama's freedom. But she soon uncovers secrets about her own origins—secrets that threaten to erase her from the world she knows.
