"For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do."
Ephesians 2:10
After all, what should we do? What kind of actions qualify and fulfill this requirement?
Calm down, I'm not going to give you a huge list of the things you have to do on a daily basis. There are two things that if you do, you will be fulfilling everything. Thank God for that!
"37 Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’
38 This is the first and greatest commandment.
39 And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’
Matthew 22:37-39
The sum of my study is: walk in faith and in love, above all in love, because it is the greatest proof that your faith is alive and working.
On the other hand, the lack of love for others is the greatest proof that that person's faith is dead and inactive.
When you see people like this, pray for them so that they can truly do God's will - love their neighbor.
"Love does no harm to a neighbor. Therefore love is the fulfillment of the law."
Romans 13:10 NIV.
Do you want to be a practitioner and not just a listener? Ask God to help you live in accordance with the Word. Why do I have to ask? Without Him we can do nothing, it is impossible to live the Christian walk in a way that pleases and glorifies God without involving His grace and power.
"4 Remain in me, as I also remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me.
5 “I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing."
John 15:4,5 NIV.
