On the Fourth circle, as the fluorescent lights flickered on, the Guards were let out of their sleeping pods. As the doors to their pods slid open, a tube would descend from above their heads to give them their food pills and meds. After they were all fed and medicated for the day, they would be sent off to their respective training rooms for their morning workouts. At each training room, they’d be monitored by a head Researcher who would record their vitals and make sure there were no problems with their programming. The Guards would train until they were needed elsewhere on the Spire or if they had consistent postings, they would head off to work as soon as their screenings were complete. They patrolled each circle, making sure no one was acting out of their assigned roles and generally keeping order. They moved throughout the city, but mostly focused on the top four circles; they guarded the Nobles in their lavish manors, they escorted the Workers on their daily commutes, and they were sent to Scientists who were suffering from stress or unapproved emotions and thoughts.
