This chapter is in the pov of Gabriel
I pushed the door to the arcade open, letting Cassian go in first. We had a nice conversation walking on the way back to the arcade, I liked to give that to people. I could have given him more, like a gift or something, but he doesn’t seem the type of boy to appreciate that kind of stuff. Anyway, it didn’t matter, I had a job to do, and I had to do it without getting caught.
“So you wanna play street fighter?” I asked Cassian.
“Sure” He smiled at me. It felt like my heart skipped a beat. “Isn’t he a target? Why do I find his company.. fun? Come on Gabriel.” I thought. “But the way he looked at me earlier, in the eye. Don’t tell me we’re friends but we’re only just getting to know each other. I should do something to hate him, make him hate me, right? So this doesn’t get out of hand.”
I looked at Cassian, “Hey you go swap that twenty in the change machine, I need to use the bathroom.”
“Oh, okay. Where actually is the change machine?” He looked around.
“Somewhere, you’ll find it.” I walked off, putting my hands in my pockets.
I sighed, shutting the bathroom door behind me. I walked over to the sinks, looking in the long mirror. I felt sick as I looked over my short brown hair, my emerald green eyes, my black polo shirt, my jeans, I hated it all, it was me after all.
