As Zev walked around the grandmother's little cottage, he saw that she was standing in her little flower bed, pulling weeds out of the ground. Zev knew that grandmother was very fond of flowers. She seemed to particularly like red ones. When Zev once asked her why she liked red flowers so much, she told him that the red flowers reminded her of her granddaughter, who would always wear the velvet red riding hood her grandmother gave her, along with a matching red one cloak, given so many years ago. Zev helped grandmother weed her flower bed and then made her a beautiful bouquet, which grandmother put on the kitchen table. When the two finished outside, they went together to Grandmother's little cottage, where she made tea while Zev told her about his encounter with the man with mud-brown eyes. The grandmother listened to him quietly and said when he had finished: "Luckily you came up with a suitable lie so quickly and luckily the hunter's friend believed it too. Even if I don't think it's great that you're lying... However, I guess we don't have any other choice now..." When it was just before sunset, Zev made his way back home. He walked about 15 minutes along the path towards the village to the small clearing that was in the middle of the forest, just off the path. He left the path and crossed the clearing, which was full of different flowers and when he checked that there was no human around, he ran into the forest and turned back into a wolf. From then on, Zev would transform near this clearing whenever he wanted to visit the grandmother.
