"Huu WHAT?" He did not mean to lengthen the one word that came from his mouth. What he had been doubting all morning proved correct. He indeed went to the school that he once decided to abort. However, he knew that it was not him doing this.
"DID I really go to the SCHOOL down the valley you mentioned?" Eldric asked a question back to Amala.
"I heard from your neighbor's friend that you really did go to school," replied Amala.
Amala noticed the sore movement in Eldric as he started muttering on his own.
"Is anything going wrong? You can share with your tante, dear."
"Uhm, NO... Not exactly tante!" proclaimed Eldric. He had no intention of making his aunt worry about him.
"But can I have a day off for today? My head feels heavy; probably I did some heavy work in school."
Amala wasn't sure what to do, but Eldric was certainly looking fetish. His eyes were blackened, and the confusing questions he was asking himself were clouding them. Whatever the case may have been, she didn't want to investigate the reason for this adolescent young man's behavior. However, it earned a day off from her.
Eldric soon went strolling as the mosaic pavement contacted his leather feet. Tap! tap! tap! shuffling through the colourless fake crystal turned into fast footsteps as Amala disappeared into the air. Afterwards, the last parasol on table number 5 faded. Then he decided to run. Running in the snow didn't seem like running at all, but he needed to push himself to his destination. His panic had caused him to smirk at passing pedestrians. They had at least turned back to see Eldric's crazy desperation to go home.
When Eldric came home, it was the dawn of sunlight. He tiredly climbed up the stairs and stopped by the second floor, where he had a quick glance at the last door to the west. He didn't find what he was looking for. The darker the darkness appeared, the more gloomy his face appeared.
Then suddenly, a voice flashed from downstairs.
"Hey, Eldric! Where were you suddenly?" His eardrum emitted a feminine voice.
"Huh! Do you know where on earth I have searched for you? That café lady said that you took a day off. I combed you in the jungle forest as well!" The girl said this while taking deep breaths with her small lips.
"I thought I was the one who was looking, Sascha. I searched for you through your daily routes throughout the evening. Tell me something before you start talking. Did I really go to that school yesterday?" Eldric started speaking, saying that he was desperate to know.
"Well… umm… yes, you did." Sascha gave an odd look, just as Amala did after listening to that same strange question from Eldric.
Sascha grabbed the cold railing near her door and leaned beside it. Eldric was more like a shaking statue standing still in front of Sascha. Eldric gave the same look as he did in front of Amala.
"You left before the bell rang; I couldn't wish you a happy birthday." So, just to say that I'm glad to see you in the canteen again after all that has happened to you, By the way, that’s completely up to you, but why didn’t you come today? Don’t tell me you feel uncomfortable with the juniors." Sascha continued.
"First of all, I don’t know why the hell I went there, but let me tell you one thing again, I am not continuing school," Eldric replied.
"Look, Eldric, you have to get out of this—your misbelief in whatever you believe. Failure to complete a year does not spell the end of the world! Just don’t forget why we went to this special school. Germany needs us!" Sacha was trying to console him in the best way she could.
"How many times do I have to tell you that it is not the reason I wanted to quit that school?" Eldric insisted.
"Don’t notice how they are turning you into a war machine so that they can fill the cannon inside you and turn you into a weapon. This school was never a special one to me. It felt like I was dumped."
"You have been dumped because you are!" Sascha was feeling offended.
"Why don’t you see the world outside and the reasons we must restore it? This school is special. They made us want to be the next Wolf, I mean." Sacha didn’t want to continue the conversation. Her blue eyes were obstructed, revealing her hatred for Eldric.
"Well, I didn’t mean what I said!" Eldric tried to slow the pace. He grinned at her.
"You look tired, Sascha; let’s go to our rooms. The clouds are decorating themselves. It's been a very tiring day for me too." Eldric confronted him with his words.
"Well, I am sorry; I didn’t mean that too. I met your father in his store while searching for you. His store was very busy with umbrellas. He might also be late today."
It didn’t bother him much. Eldric soon moved his feet towards the stairs. Sascha was seen knocking on her door impatiently. Two grown-up teenagers had their day. Eldric should be the one who is most tired. His feet were not moving up the two stairs. He ambled while slightly tilting his shoulders. His worn-looking, dark brown eyes faded from not having gotten proper sleep throughout the day.

"Woo-woo-woo-woo-woo," a strong monotonous sound, pierced Eldric's ears. The motorised green machine was doomed to the rainy snow. The cloud covered the moon, shading the darkness. The green cars with bulky wheels emerged at full speed. The men in brown uniforms came out of the car’s window with a bullhorn.
"A bomb will fall soon; I repeat, a bomb will fall soon on the outskirts. Please evacuate the place as soon as possible. It is recommended that you attend the school. Please don’t take anything with you..."
The echo turned into smoke, which spread throughout the Vielist. Sacha was in front of her door, knocking hard this time.
Eldric was there, just two steps away from his floor. His eyeballs narrowed.
