A fully veiled figure sat adjacent to a young woman amidst a garden of roses. The young woman only wore a veil to cover her eyes as she sipped from a cup covered in purple violets as she smiled at the fully veiled figure. Rainbow arches surrounded them, and the figure almost ignored the young woman as she admired the rosed arches, almost as if their mind was occupied by one another. Their grace and aura radiated royalty, their presence almost mistaken as a painting made to act as an illusion.
The moment of peace that was held was interrupted as they felt a rumble in the air and in the ground. The veiled figure rapidly stood and knocked down the table holding the porcelain teapot and cups. The young woman tried to catch them but it was too late, they crashed on the walkway and shattered. The young woman tried to pick up the pieces but was stopped as the figure motioned her to stand. As the young woman stood, she saw the field of roses start to wilt and die.
Both walked inside the castle, their pace quickening, trying to find the source of the outburst until they reached the opposite end of what seemed like an unnecessarily long hallway. They stood in front of a door riddled with scratch marks in the keyhole and slowly opened it. A sweet smell filled the air as the light from the door began to reveal what the room held. Inside, covered in darkness, clumsily dressed in a robe, knelt a young man as beautiful as could be. Curly hair in tangles, skin dripped in sweat, and his hands reaching towards the sky as the blood under his nails dripped down his arms as he kneeled. Even though it was off-putting and pitiful, each detail was like seeing a marble statue in beautiful agony that an average person could not look away from. The young man panted for air as he brought his hands to the floor, his eyes in a craze, ignoring the two figures in the doorway.
The veiled figure quickly walked to the young man and placed their hand on their exposed shoulder. He quickly swiped it away in anger, "GET AWAY FROM ME!" he yelled as he scurried back. The veiled figure was startled as they backed away, but began to speak in a low soft tone, "I just wanted to see how you were. You are clearly in distress". The young man calmed down but was still shaken up as he stood, the thoughts in his head racing, but, he didn't want to tell the reason for his demeanor to either figure in the room. "I just had a nightmare, I'm fine now. I just need to sober up". The figure sighed with a feeling that sensed he was lying, "We've been together for a very long time, I wish you could see me more as family or at the very least as a friend. Someone you can trust". The young man glared but then softened his features," I'm sorry to disappoint you, but, we cannot be anything more than what we are now. I bet not even he-", the young man was cut off as the figure flew towards him at a terrifying speed as they yelled, "DONT YOU DARE TALK LIKE YOU HAVE ANY IDEA ABOUT-", the figure stopped itself as it came face to face with the young man. His beauty stoic and mesmerizing, the figure retracted. "Excuse my outburst, I will leave you now, we both have a busy day ahead of us". The figure stood at the doorway but turned to the young man one last time, "I just wish... you could see things as I do". The figure's words landed on deaf ears as they closed the door.
The young man fell to the floor again, his legs giving out. He grieved at what he knew was about to begin and had no idea how to stop it. He laid on the floor trying to calm himself down as he stared at his ceiling, only a few words forming in his mind, "Please, stay far away from here".
