"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life."
John 3:16
Yes, it may sound crazy or silly, until recently that was how I saw the Christian life. Even though I practically grew up in church because of my mother, I was never interested, when I was little I just wanted to play and have fun with the other children. Unintentionally, I went deeper into the knowledge of the Word.
One day, in a special event of another denomination, my mother's friend invited us and we decided to go. I felt a touch in my heart at the time of the appeal, that same night I accepted Jesus as my Lord and Savior.
Since then, I started to walk this beautiful journey that before seemed so strange to me, now I see it and I'm sure it's the purest truth.
I'm still taking my first steps to know Jesus, even so I felt privileged to have been reached and the little I know I wanted to share with you. Through Luciano Subirá's preaching ( a Brazilian pastor) I had a clearer idea of what it is to be guided by the spirit. I always had doubts in this area.
God really used him to teach me how to be led by the spirit, it's like feeling a strong urge to do something good or a conviction like you're sure you know but you can't explain it, it's normal to have doubts, it's something completely new.
People often call it intuition, it's actually the Voice of God speaking to them. In any case, it has several ways of discovering whether it is God, checking whether it is based on the Word, asking Him for confirmation or the most daring, obeying the impulse to see it in practice.
Don't be afraid of being wrong, living is learning and many times we need to make mistakes in order to do that.Don't blame yourself for your failures, learn from them and become a stronger and better person.
God doesn't hate you, is mad at you, hasn't forgotten you or is disappointed with something you've done, no matter how much you've done the biggest stupid thing in the world, He loves you and wants to help you fix it.
"Can a mother forget the baby at her breast and have no compassion on the child she has borne? Though she may forget, I will not forget you!"
Isaiah 49:15
You are never alone, He is always by your side, He hears your cry for help and saves you! But it's up to you to take the first step, God is not invasive, He can only enter if you open the door
"This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him. This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins."
1 John 4:9-10
