I have been trying to think of questions but all of them are really spoilers (e.g., why does Edus dislike Asteria? What does the gravity well do?). Clearly things of that nature will be revealed as the story proceeds.
The one thing that struck me was short skirts and flying around. That doesn’t seem the best match.
