“...and this is how we’re planning to conclude the sale.”
“Good job guys with this one! That’ll be all for today. Thankyou for your time.” Employees were happy as they received praise from their boss. After all, their boss is the most optimistic and cheerful person on the planet. But today he was more cheerful than usual, he was happy.
“Ted! Are the preparations done?”
“What preparations, sir?”
“What preparations, you are asking? Did you forget that today Muskan and her team are coming?”
“Oh that! It’s done. How can I forget? Along with her that rude girl is also coming and on top of that you made me incharge of them. Now I’ll have to see her everyday.” Ted snapped and Jay laughed at his misery.
Jay was very excited to meet Muskan. But at the same time he maintained his professional demeanor. The idea of working together with her, drove him down the memory lanes when they were assigned as partners for a task during their school days.
On their community service trip from school to orphanage, Jay and Muskan were paired together as the team leaders for their class group, through a class voting. It happened because no one from the class was interested in taking on this responsibility, so they voted for the most talkative and silent kid, who seemed easy to manipulate.
Because Urvi was on sick leave, she missed this chance, which she would never miss at any cost.
Jay and Muskan met a sweet and lovely girl in the orphanage and became very attached to her. That girl had become very special to them in a single day. Seeing the paintings and talent of that girl Muskaan got her admitted in her sister's art academy and she was sponsored by Jai's grandmother, with whom he lived at that time.
It was at this time that Muskaan saw Jai smiling at someone for the first time. Both of them got a lot of appreciation and praise for doing a great job managing the tasks and leading everyone without any mistakes. That day Jai opened his heart to Muskaan for the first time.
"Thank you! For pushing me to come here. If you didn't force me, I would never have come here and would never be able to experience all this today."
That trip was the first step in their journey of love that they took together. That day, that scene, that atmosphere are deeply imprinted in Jai's heart as an unforgettable memory.
“Both the children must have grown up. Wish I could meet them once.”
While reminiscing about the past, he thought of that little girl and Muskaan's sister. During his time with Muskan he also became very attached to both of them. He had to stay away from everyone else because of breaking up with one 10 years ago.
“It’s been so long I haven’t seen Jay Bhai*. Kareena di said he has changed a lot. I really want to see him once… but Di might not like it.” Disappointed, Vishi was mumbling to herself while scribbling her brush on canvas.
(‘Bhai’ is the term used to address elder brother.)
