Some time later, Greer was coming back from her Christmas shopping and looking annoyed. "Stupid exchange why did I have to get BANE. He is an ASSHOLE." She saw Blake and Dewi and smiled. "My Honey and Sugar... gimme a sec to put my stuff in my room. I am freezing and need cuddles before I decide to set bane's gift on fire for warmth." She hurried to drop her stuff in her room before coming and flopping on the couch with them.
"Anything to stop you from committing such a sloppy murder. Conjugal visits are harder to get if you're not already married...."
"We'd elope before I turned myself in obviously." She snuggled in, grabbing her quilt. "Ok so.... what are we doing for winter break?"
"Well, since we mostly just did our own thing during thanksgiving, it would be nice to do more of the holiday stuff together this time..." The boys cuddled closer... for warmth, of course...... "So we should probably figure out a schedule, based on what we can and can't miss of our respective family traditions..."
"Ma said I can miss Christmas but I HAVE to show up for the family exchange on the 26th." Greer had managed to stubbornly keep her hair and piercings.
"Then that's perfect." Blake says. "We can all spend Christmas with my family and the next day at yours."
"Are you sure you want to? It's gonna be as bad as thanksgiving... you might get stressed out..."
"Don't worry, I'll bring some tea. And worst case scenario, you said you have an aunt with anxiety... I could probably visit with her if I need some time away from it all. Not that I want to go inviting myself or anything, but I get the sense from what I know that she wouldn't mind if I really needed to."
"I'll talk to her beforehand.... but are you really sure? I have pictures this time, of the family...." She pulled out her phone. Swiping through the aunties, uncles, cousins, any SOs of the cousins, their kids....
Blake places a hand on hers. "We're sure... If we want to someday be part of the family, we should meet them eventually. And putting it off makes it seem like we're not serious about you."
"No it looks like I'm trying to protect you from them.... they won't have gifts for you tis is the blind gift exchange. Most... of the family thinks you two are my fuck boys and won't last past this year. I think there are bets how long till I have a kid."
"All the more reason to meet them now so they know you didn't trade us in for newer models when we show up next year... Likely still childless."
She went under the blanket, stretching herself across there laps. "You are not allowed to break up with me because of this visit. I will ditch my family if it means keeping you two. Especially if it means I can throw Bane into a lake."
"I get the feeling you're just itching for a decent excuse to chuck your cousin into a lake.... We're not going to break up with you."
"He took Bill's side and he wasn't even there. He's a traitor."
"Duly note, and if you give the word, we'll help you throw him in. We don't even need a reason other than he pissed you off."
"Yep... if we don't get married I'm gonna die a spinster cause I would never find anyone better than you two.... ooo I just realized how big Blake's hoodie is." And now she was inside it. "Deee.... it's warm in here. You should join me."
"Might be too tight of a fit for three adults.... I'll have to turn into something smaller..." His voice is closer and the last part sounds thoughtful, like he's trying to decide what to be.
"A snake would fit very nicely in here."
It isn't long before he has slithered in and wrapped himself around both of them under Blake's hoodie. "You're right, it is really nice in here..."
Greer peeked up to make sure Blake wasn't annoyed. She felt happy though, just one of the nice moments. Blake smiles down at her softly. "Comfortable, G?"
"Mmm.... might move in here. I could put a picture there.... study there... sleep here..." She cuddled up against his chest.
He wraps his arms, still in the sleeves, around her. "Hmmm.... That sounds really nice...." Honestly after a few moments she started drifting off. It really was nice.... and warm...
