Group date night came around and it was just a fun day out ice skating at the rink. As they had their fun there were a few guys that just wouldn't leave Dewi all the way alone. "Come on... you don't have to ditch them, just hang with us for a bit. We can get you some cocoa."

Dewi looks them over critically. "Not my type and you couldn't afford the amount of sweets it would take to lure me away from these two for even a little time. In other words, you can't afford me… so buzz off."

Other adults skated around. kids in school that day. Greer was watching from a distance when one of them grabbed Dewi's ass. "Come on babe I- OOF!" 

Greer had suddenly started coming at them full speed and closlined the one grabbing Dewi's butt. She skidded to a stop as the other two started after her. She skated forward and well.... within moments it looked like a hockey match, complete with one of the guys being thrown into a wall. No bones were being broken by Greer... but they had busted noses for sure.

"... I guess I should just mention how protective my girlfriend is from now on... I think they got the message, Princess..."

She got back as the security people came up. She didn't fight going with them. ".....I'll see you guys later sorry I ruined the date..."

Blake has skated up by this point. "You didn't ruin our date, G. These boys that kept harassing Dewi did."

Greer nodded a bit and headed off. As she sat in the security office they were checking and deciding what to do. It looked like they were talking about banning her. Well.... that was ok. Those punks wouldn't harass anyone like that anytime soon.... They saw you lose it I know Like a freaking wild animal Yeah.... ...it was nice while it lasted... wasn't it? Greer tried not to cry. She wasn't listening but it sounded like the creeps were going to get banned as well. They were being told it was up to them if they pressed charges. Oh yeah...that was a thing wasn't it?

Suddenly, Blake's voice could be heard. "If they can press charges against our girlfriend, then we want to press charges too. For sexual harassment. They kept making lewd comments about what they wanted to do to my boyfriend even after he told them he wasn't interested. Greer was only acting in defense of Dewi and she had the restraint to not do any more damage than busted noses and some bruises, most of which are only their egos... They're lucky she had the self control to not break any bones after some of the things they said about Dewi."

Greer looked, surprised. Well... in a way she wasn't but... "Hey Blake..." She had a black eye forming herself and a busted lip.

He takes a closer look at her injuries. "Luce'll have a field day if you come home looking like that... Probably won't let you do much yourself for the next few day. And that's just his reaction that's directed towards you..."

"You shouldn't get into trouble... I was the one that lost my temper... Think I'm gonna get banned from here. But I bet you guys can come back."

Blake gives a pointed side glance at the beat up boys. "We're not the ones who'll be in trouble if the other two find out about what happened... Sato alone could cause all kinds of legal headaches for anyone that hurts us. He's deceptively protective of those he's close to."

"it's not a big deal.... I'll tell them it's not a big deal. Can we go home?"

Blake looks at the security guards. "Are we free to go now?"

"Fine but at this time she is banned." Greer got up and started walking out with Blake, by the time they got to the car with Dewi... she was crying. "I'm sorry... I... I lost my temper... they grabbed Dewi and..."

Dewi pulls her close into a hug. "Shh... It's okay, Princess. Everyone's safe and that's what matters. I'm more worried about that black eye and busted lip. They must be hurting by now... Is it okay for me to kiss it better?"

"No I don't want it to look like I hid it from Luce.... and I feel like a piece of shit right now... that doesn't go well... sides... had worst..."

"Okay. Just remember the offer's always there when Luce's mothering gets to be too much..."

"I know.... it can't be that bad tho right?" By the time they got home, Sato and Luce were together in the living room. "back...."

"Welcome ba-" Luce stops as he sees Greer. "Who?"

 Blake steps forward, but focuses on looking at Sato. "We do not wish to pursue the matter at this time. Please respect our decision and not ask for names. No one wants a repeat of what happened to the yellow eyed girl and Greer already took care of them..."

"It was just some assholes harassing Dewi..... I lost it and beat the shit outta them. It's fine. I've been in worst."

Luce silently stalks out of the room and comes back with supplies to tend to her wounds. "Sit." It's the only word he utters.

She did so. She wasn't going to argue. "...look I lost my temper ok... I'm gonna be better... I'm gonna try..."

Luce's face softens as he tends to her, but it's Sato that speaks up. "No one's upset with you, Greer... Harassment is a really sensitive subject with us, so Luce just doesn't want to say anything he'll regret..."

She nodded a bit. "I really am fine.... I once got into a fight with two of the guys from the football team. That was something... course one of them was my cousin."

"Well, that doesn't mean you should have to deal with the injuries on your own this time. If you're not going to use Dewi's power to heal yourself, at least let Luce help it heal faster..."

"I will... later... when I don't feel like I'm shit.."

Luce finishes up and starts to move away before suddenly pulling her into a hug instead. Softly, low enough she could easily think she imagined it, he speaks. "Thank you... For protecting them..."

She hugged him back tightly. She was convinced if nothing else Luce would order her to break up with them. She was so glad that wasn't the case. "No prob papa bear..." ***

As it got closer to winter break, Greer was getting closer to the guys. One night she had the guts to ask for a 'sleepover'. "I mean I know we're roommates I just mean like... together... like the camping trip and in pjs.... nothing real far..."

"Sounds like a wonderful idea, G. We'd love to, right, Dew?"

And so it didn't take long to get settled. Greer was nervous but was wearing her pj shorts and shirt. it didn't take her long to fall asleep but... her being so close... her mind started replaying old fears. "No...no Bill..." She shrank a bit looking 14 in her sleep. "No my suit... Someone please... no... stop..." She was having a panic attack. She woke up unable to control her breathing.

It had woken the boys up too. "Greer? ...Love? ...Can you concentrate on my voice for me? You were having a nightmare... You're safe now.... We won't let anyone hurt you.... We're here and you're safe..."

She hugged Dewi tightly, crying. It took a while before she calmed down enough to try and look herself again. Not that she was doing a good job, she kept looking more masculine. "S-sorry...."

"What for, Princess?" He was holding her tenderly and Blake had made sure to be fully covered before joining him in hugging her.  

"W-wakeing you up.. it... it was just a bad dream ‘bout an ex... d-didn't mean to wake y-you up..."

"And let you suffer alone while we're literally inches from you? I'm glad we woke up... With a panic attack that bad, for all we know, it could have gone on for hours."

She closed her eyes tightly. "It's so stupid... it happened years ago... so what if the whole school saw... "

"Do you want to talk about it...?"

Greer took a moment... and slowly started sharing what happened that day. "...it's stupid right...? I mean... he wasn't even saying anything that everyone wasn't already thinking... and I shoulda known better... why anyone would... would ever want to date me... ever I..."

Suddenly Dewi was kissing her on the lips. She hadn't noticed in her still semi panicked state Blake handing the bottle to Dewi. Or their wordless conversation. Or Dewi taking a sip of around the correct dose for her at the moment. She did notice though when Blake's tea entered her mouth. "We want to date you, Princess..."

Her shaking stopped and she leaned on Dewi, calming down. "I want to be with you... I don't want you guys to leave me..."

Greer looked at Dewi's hair and gently touched it. "It's dark...." She looked at them. "You... you guys... aren't going to do anything are you?"

"Not without your permission. We promised you and we don't plan to break that promise..."

She didn't remember a promise but went with it. She curled up on the bed again so she was in between them. "....we have to tell Sato and Luce don't we.... if I freaked out this bad..."

"Only if you're ready to tell them... Which reminds me. Your dad wanted to know if we knew what happened between you and Bill. He says he won't do anything and is just worried about his little girl. We told him that even when we found out, we wouldn't say anything without making sure it's okay with you...."

She closed her eyes. "I was so scared to tell them... I didn't know what they'd do... and all my friends said it was my fault... even my cousins..." She trailed off. "...he promised...?"

"He said he wouldn't do anything, that it's your Ma that'll likely murder those involved and with a smile on her face. He said he won't even tell your Ma. He just wants to know..."

"..ok...was... was it my fault?"

"Fuck no. Definitely not... Your only fault was seeing good in a person that wasn't actually there. And you two grew up together so he knew exactly which buttons to press to cause you not to notice that he hadn't changed. He's the worse kind of person. Not only did you get mentally and emotionally hurt, but he caused you to leave the situation feeling like it was your fault... Unfortunately this isn't the first time we've seen this kind of thing happen..."

She pulled Blake closer to her and Dewi. "I love you..."

"We love you too, our Deer Greer."

"I like how you call me an animal that can spook or kick your ass and you don't know which."

"One that is also quite radiant in her element and a person should feel great honor in being able to get close to..."

She was looking closer to her age now, calmer. Maybe her hair was shorter than before but not by much."We should sleep... Dewi and I got exams tomorrow...."

"That sounds like an excellent idea. Do you need or want anything before we go back to bed? ...Something that might help keep the nightmares away and help you sleep...?"

"....my quilt Gran Gran gave me......and my plushie." 

Blake pulls away just long enough to grab them for her. "Here you are, Love."

The quilt is big enough for all of them to snuggle under. Good ol’ gran gran.... she hugs her plush and falls asleep.
