The cold winter sun slowly rose as students flooded outside the school gates, but no one entered. The entire student body refused to move as the display was in full view on top of the school, the orange hue's sparkling in their widdened eyes. Chocolate curls swayed in the cold wind adorned with silver flowers in the shape of a crown, a shimmering white long-sleeve gown draped over her body, tear-shaped jewels adorning the hem of her dress, and a white corset with embroidered silver flowers ever so slightly popping out of her waist. Her hands extended outwards as if she expected you to come to her, her eyes remained closed as the silver liner leaked like she was crying, and her lips ever so slightly curved to make a sweet smile that was lightly blushed with red gloss. Each detail popped and was discovered as the sun caressed her, and as if on queue, the rays overlapped the desecrated corpse to show her in her glory. The light showed the vision of an angel in full display, her crown now a halo, her dress now a gown of light, and the clouds behind her were now wings that were adorned with silver flowers. It was a sight that was now engrained in the young student's minds as their faces showed the true horror that they were seeing.
Their minds were in disarray as they saw their classmate on the roof, many took pictures, others just stared, and many began to talk among themselves. Those who bullied her now singing her praises, those who never interacted with her acted like her friend, and those who knew her were left speechless.
Rosie could only stare at what used to be her friend, now in a beautiful display. Her hands became clammy, her heart began to race, and the sound around her just became white noise, "I just spoke to her. Did I imagine that?", Rosie took out her phone in her shacky hand, "No, the call log is still on my phone. So, why am I seeing my friend on that roof?", Rosie thought to herself as her blank face was covered in tears. She slowly approached the gate that was surrounded by police officers and news reporters, trying to get closer, to confirm it wasn't who she thought it was. Her hand extended as if to reach for something that was no longer there. As she walked in her haze, she felt something hold her back. The soft-touch climbed from her hand to her arm, evolving into an embrace that called out her name.
"Rosie, she's gone".
Rosie heard those words but didn't want to believe them.
"She's gone".
Again the sound penetrated her eardrums but she didn't want it to be true.
"She's gone".
Rosie hugged that warm embrace and let out a shriek, her crying piercing the cold air as she fell with Valie holding her. Rosie wailed as the students stared, many looking away and many recognizing who the pair were. The girl that Giselle hit and the girl that hit Giselle back. Rosie didn't want to hear anything that was being said about her, so she cried louder to drown out everything else. Valie held her tighter as her friend clung to the warmth.

Valie and Rosie sat at a nearby bench as they leaned on each other. Valie handed the crying girl a tissue as her head hung low to not see the body. They sat in silence as the crowds still buzzed a few feet away. Rosie shivered as her tears began to burn her, she broke her silence as her eyes were glazed over, her experssion in a daze. "When I saw... her...for a second, I couldn't believe how beautiful she looked". Rosie turned to her friend and saw as tears began to fall from that blank stare. She didnt know why, but this sight made rosie feel at ease. After what Giselle did, Vlaie would still cry for someone like her. Rosie gripped Vlaies hand and smiled as she stood and looked towards the display atop the roof one last time. She tried to keep everything in, but her vision began to get blurry, her face becoming warm with tears again streaming down her face. Valie tried to dry her tears but Rosie shook her head to stop. She wore a stressed smile as she clasped her hands, wanting to say a final farewell. "You were terrible, and if I could go back in time and knock some sense into you I would. But, the way you are now, people can see you like how I use to see you. I'm sorry this happened to you and I can't promise you something unrealistic like catching who did this. But, I will promise that you will remain beautiful in my memories. Goodbye, Giselle". Rosie then covered her face with her clasped hands, the gesture looked as if she were praying, but she was just trying to hide her never-ending tears.
Valie sat in silence as her friend grieved, but her heart pounded at the remarks that were given. She could hear everyone say "She's beautiful". Even her friend said so, so it must be true. As all others were preoccupied she couldn't help but let out her true feelings for a bit. Her smile grew innocently and her eyes sparkled with delight. She looked so happy staring at her beautiful angel for those couple of seconds.
Elis saw as the fire department climbed to lower the body. She was pretty mounted up there. "I guessed it was all you were good for", Elis thought as he looked around. He saw as everyone showed a very entertaining sight, saying words that offered themselves sympathy, lying about memories with her, and overall lying to reporters, teachers, and police.
Moreover, he looked around for Rosie, he wanted to see what she looked like. Then, across the street at the park benches, he saw two figures. He could make out that the standing individual was Rosie, but he couldn't figure out if she was crying or praying. Then, as he recognized Valie, he saw she stared at her crying friend and then looked forward. He saw her face twist to form an innocent smile at the corpse atop the building. The color drained from his face as he saw her expression effortlessly change to a tearful and distraught facade as her friends came. It was uncanny seeing that in real-time. How could someone do that? It sent chills down his spine, but it also filled him with excitement. She was hiding something, and he wanted to find out what that was.
Valerian is as normal as can be, she goes to school, does her assignments, has friends she adores, and even has a crush. However, she can also be irrational, cold, and unforgiving if you catch her eye. Whatever you do, try not to get her attention, leave her alone, and as anybody can tell you, she loves beautiful things.
