"So now it's enough for me. It's my turn to tell stories again!" While you could watch TV and eat comfortably at home on the sofas, I experienced hell on earth. At first Araña constantly me with these annoying sticks and then I am locked in a dirty cage in his zoo. And as if that wasn't enough, I have to perform tricks every day, as if I had ended up in a circus. Once a day, a guard came by and threw disgusting chunks down into the cage and those who wanted something tastier had to fight for it or amuse the prince. On my first day down there, I had to dodge rotten vegetables that Araña threw at me. On my second day was already my first fight. In a cage a little further to the right, two rabbits were locked up. The cage door opened with a loud screech and, refusing to go out myself, I was washed up by an ice-cold wave of water into the big hole in the middle of the room. This hole served as an arena and rarely as a ring. The other cage door opened a little quieter and the two brown rabbits hopped out. Apparently, her cage door was oiled better than mine. Araña said, "Fight!" and the rabbits attacked me. They hopped towards me at lightning speed. One on the right, the other on the left. When they were only two meters or so away from me, they jumped off at the same time and bit me in the front legs. However, they immediately let go of me and jumped back before I could even bend a hair to them. They started circling around me and suddenly jumped forward again and again, bit me and then jumped right back again. When I was already bleeding from several bite wounds, they jumped on me and bit into my neck fur. Against my cat reflexes I did not arrive and my body slackened. Since when did rabbits know that cats, if you grab them properly in the neck, slacken? Loco, who was always standing next to the prince, jumped into the hole and drove the rabbits back into their cage. After that, he gave a sign to someone outside my field of vision and the door of the cage closed. Fresh hay and straw were thrown into their cage and a few carrots were lowered in a basket hanging from a rope. Loco came back to me and I hissed at him weakly. He licked his teeth, growled quietly at me and lifted me rudely by the neck. He threw me back into my cage and gave someone a sign again. My door closed again squeaking, but a small gap remained open. Loco kicked her and the door closed completely. Through the trapdoor above, some dirty straw was thrown down and also a few of the disgusting chunks. Loco looked in and said, "I hope you like the dog food, because if you continue to fight so miserably, there will never be anything better for you." I hissed at him again and threw one of the chunks at him. Unfortunately, I met next to it and he laughed at me out loud. I moved to the driest and farthest corner I could find and lay down on the damp, musty and dirty straw. Like last night, I could not sleep in this one. I heard other animals growling, hissing, scratching and gnawing. Suddenly, someone whispered, "Psst! Little cat! Look out!" I ran forward and saw the two rabbits in their cage. The right rabbit whispered again, "Hey! Sorry we hurt you. We didn't really want to, but if we don't obey, we suddenly end up on a plate." The other rabbit nodded and then whispered, "Hey! Tell me, are you actually Arika?" I nodded a little amazed that they knew who I was and that the first rabbit had said "sorry". You don't say anything like that here! The left rabbit happily hopped up and down and the right one said, "I knew it! Don't you recognize us anymore? It's us! Lina and Lena!" Now I remembered again. I saw a large meadow in front of me, just behind Jinete. I was sitting in a large oak tree and below me three girls were looking for me, Jael and Alice. One of the girls was Anilec. She crept around the tree and sniffed in the air. Further ahead, two girls with blond-brown hair hopped to an apple tree. The girls looked exactly the same and even wore the same clothes. Lina and Lena are twins. You can only recognize her by the fact that Lena has a slightly higher voice. They climbed the tree from two different sides and suddenly you could hear loud croaking from their direction. In the tree it began to glow white and shortly afterwards Jael jumped out of the tree. Jael, Lina and Lena ran together into the rose garden looking for Alice, while Anilec started climbing this tree. From the rose garden I heard laughter. They had found Alice. I didn't pay attention for a short time and Anilec had already caught me. Something hard hit me on the head and I saw the arena and the grid in front of me again. There was a small carrot in front of my paws and over there Lena said, "What was wrong with you? We asked you if you wanted a carrot. Since you didn't answer, we just threw one over at you." I looked from the carrot to Lena and Lina and back again. After a while, I was finally able to say something again: "Thank you very much! A carrot is definitely better than the dirt they give me." I skilfully pushed the carrot between the bars and started eating. When I had eaten half of the carrot, I pushed it under the straw on which I had been lying before and looked again at Lena and Lina. The two of them had been watching me all the time and hadn't made a sound. I quietly asked, "How did you get here and why do we whisper?" They looked at each other briefly and then looked at me again before Lina said, "We whisper so as not to disturb the others here. And we are here because..." She looked at Lena and she continued, "The prince saw the glow when we transformed. He discovered us as rabbits and immediately captured us. However, he had no proof that we are not just normal rabbits and therefore could not show us to everyone without the risk that they would declare him crazy. So he locked us up here and uses us for his entertainment." Something was moving in the cage to their left and a shepherd dog appeared. He was so skinny that you could see his ribs. It took me a while to recognize him. It was Luck, one of Araña's best friends! Lina (or maybe Lena) pushed a carrot through the grid over to Luck. He took her and ran back with her. Then it was quiet except for the cracking of the carrot between Luck's teeth. I crept back and lay down on the straw again.
Three girls with very special gifts find out they are actually adopted and discover their first adoptive families. Curious Arika is soon captured by the jealous Prince Araña, and Anilec and Jael must find a way to free Arika from his supernatural zoo.
This is the first story I've ever written (in German) I hope you like it and that I've translated everything well :)
