As soon as we got back, I excused myself to freshen up first and grabbed my clothes and rushed to the bathroom. I looked at the mirror and immediately started rambling off in my head.
" Why the heck are you using such a shy tone around him?! Why?? " I stressed as I blinked at my reflection while I continued to scream in my head.
" Alright look here. You're gonna walk out there and be normal, got that? Yes. That's right. " I confidently said to myself and hurried up with my bath. It was quite a humid day today and if there was one thing I would not tolerate, it was staying sweaty.
I walked out all happy since I was fresh and had one of the stupidest grins ever plastered on my face. As soon as I saw Luke looking straight at me, I froze and dropped the smile. I for one did not expect that he would be right there.
He just looked at me and covered his laugh with his hand as he looked away. " You totally saw that smile, didn't you? " I said, giving up.
" I don't know what you're talking about. " He said as he cocked his head slightly with an innocent expression. " You totally did. " I said exasperated as I walked over and plopped myself on my bed.
" Alright, go on. Get freshened up. " I said as I looked up at him from the bed. He nodded and right before he closed the bathroom door, he popped his head out and called out my name.
" Yeah? " I answered as I raised my head to look at him. To which he looked back at me and suddenly imitated an exaggerated version of my smile.
"Agh Lukeee!! " I shouted at him as I grabbed the nearest pillow and threw it at him. He closed the door rapidly, dodging the attack but I could still hear his laughs.
I crawled over and brought my pillow back and buried my face in it with embarrassment.
With my back to the door, I gathered my wallet and keys and everything else I needed for heading out when I heard the click of the bathroom door opening. " Ready? " I asked as I turned to look at him.
I don't know what I was expecting, but this was definitely not it. He was standing there in a towel, half-naked as water dripped down the drooping spikes of his hair.
I took a second to digest the sight as my suspicions of his well-built body got confirmed. Completely ripped and well-toned, he looked like he had just walked out of a modelling magazine.
As I stood there stuck for words, he scratched his head nervously as he noticed me looking at him. " Um, I forgot my clothes since I got distracted with that goofy smile of yours. "
Immediately I snapped back into reality and looked away faster than a cat chasing a laser point. " Oh my god, don't bring that smile up. I'm already so embarrassed about it. " I mumbled.
" What's there to be embarrassed about? It's cute. " He said as I heard him move around behind me.
After a few seconds, I replied with a hmm as I secretly thanked God that I was turned away from him since I could clearly feel my cheeks heat up.
