When a baby completes one year of life, they're taken to a temple, in case their fate was predestined, a prophecy will be proclaimed.
Most children don't receive one, for that reason those who do are special, the chosen ones to accomplish great feats, inevitably, become heroes… In spite of that, I was born to be a villain.
The seer placed her hand on the little one's forehead, her expression went dark which rightfully distressed the parents.
"What is it? What did you see?!" They interrogated nervously, hoping for a reassuring response yet they obtained the opposite.
"Your child…" The older lady sweated, her voice cracking in terror."This child will destroy the world."
"Get rid of him or he'll grow up to annihilate us!" A ton of armed men alongside women surrounded them.
"You can't do this!" The mother held her baby protectively, the father shielded both in a fighting stance.
"It's for our safety, yours included." The commander induced, motioning for the guards to stay put."Surrender, we'll spare you."
The couple exchanged glances, the odds were stacked against them, as much as it pained them, they did.
"Allow us to save your son from his tragic destiny." Dictating, the elder extended his arm.
"Can we say our goodbyes privately?" The parents petitioned, pitifully.
"You may." Indifferent, he approved."Be aware, you are doing the right thing."
The guards awaited outside of a cubicle windowless room, upon hearing a weird sound they barged into to discover it was vacant.
"The door we came in is the sole exit." The male guard connoted.
"Virx users." The female soldier presumed."They must've teleported."
"Zorna!" Her colleague cursed."The boss will have our heads!"
Clouds gradually assembled themselves totally covering the sun, depriving them of light as if nature itself cried in pain.
The soothing sound of rain drops echoed through the woods accompanied by the weirdly good scent of wet soil, that welcoming atmosphere of the cave's interior had compelled them to dedicate a moment for contemplating.
"You're a wanted criminal because of some prophecy." Lyla huddled in her thick coat to warm herself."Okay, what's your goal?"
"It would be rude not to meet their expectations." Sachar was sitting far away from her, arms crossed."I'll fulfill the prophecy."
"Is your revenge worth ending the whole world over?"
"You didn't understand." He enveloped a rock in a grey sphere which broke it into pieces."It will end exclusively for them."
"Do that, you'll be a mere murderer…" The woman shrugged, the man observed curious.
"Wouldn't you rather be the world conqueror?" An ambitious glint shimmered in her eyes.
"It sure has a nice ring to it." Sachar was tempted yet singularly doubtful."What would you get from it?"
"All I ever had was my dad's riches and my mom's pretty face." Her reply was slightly bitter."I want something of my own now."
"That would be?" He said in plain tone.
"I don't mind, as long as nobody can disregard me." The rain stopped, allowing them to continue their course.
Her personal ancient evil got up, beginning to walk away, the ex-law student hurried after, no matter her many inquisitions he didn't answer where they were off to.
Her were legs throbbing from walking for hours, certainly they could use a rest, the brunette heedily tapped his shoulder. A simple action she would soon learn to regret.
A azure snake came out from his back about to lunge at her, when he abruptly turned, some drops of her poison fell burning holes into the ground.
"Don't touch me." Warned hostile, a frightening look on his face, the serpent hissed at her.
Gulping, the young woman could barely give a weak nod, completely fixated on the sharp fangs of the viper around his neck.
"What was it?" He asked irritatedly, almost apologetic.
"I'm tired, could…we take a break?" The little sheep trembled, hugging herself.
The flames of the campfire illuminated the moonless night, the child of the prophecy cooked dinner. The food was alien for her, even water tasted strange, although she dared not complain.
The bed was a dirty ground with none of her fluffy pillows to rest her head, she slept ignoring the immense discomfort of having a bizarre floating orb watching over her.
In the morning, that chatterbox was timid like a mouse hiding from a hungry cat, wordlessly lagging behind until he heard a thud and looked back to find her fallen passed out.
At a loss of what to do, the summoner resorted to send the outsider where she truly belonged, to no avail, Lyla blocked it unconsciously.
"I'm not going unless the grim reaper is hot!" Disoriented, she stared at him, blacking out again."Hey, that 's cheating.."
An old man passing by offered to treat her, since healing wasn't his area of expertise, he readily accepted. They took her to his hut, where he successfully stabilized her condition.
"You're not from this world." Afterwards an examination process that was his conclusion.
"My tremendous beauty must've given it away." The patient acclaimed, coughing.
"Your lack of virx." The doctor responded apathetically.
"What's that? Some kind of magic stuff?" The rich girl guessed."It sure doesn't sound like a popular brand."
"Virx is like air in our world, it's everywhere." Her partner explained equally tepidly.
"In short, a fancy word for magic." She shrugged.
"That's taking a toll on your magicless body, not fatal, it's a chronic condition."
"I'll be feeling trashy everyday? You're a doctor, fix me up!" The patient demanded.
"What's the treatment?" Sachar went straight to the point.
"Ideally, return to the planet of origin." The senior and the impatient man beamed at the thought.
"I refuse to." The sickly brat crossed her arms.
"The second option is to ingest the mirus flower." The doctor presented the alternative, greatly disappointed.
"A flower?" She repeated Incredulously.
"It has special petals that can cure anything, it's only prescribed to grave cases.
"It would be a waste to use it for every little thing." The grandiose patient supposed.
"Where can I find it?" The impatient companion inquired.
"On top of any mountain, the challenge is climbing." Answer acquired her personal ancient evil left to attain the medicine.
"So grandpa, where's the catch?" The politician's daughter queried, the senior was dazzled at her observance."How you suspected?"
"Would something this great, easy to get plus sell for an extremely high price be left unused?"
"It's a lethal potion or all healing, according to the gifter's true intentions."
"I won't recover in case he actually doesn't wish for that?" She boasted."Consider me healed."
"You place a lot of faith on the child of the prophecy."
"That guy doesn't waste his time." The girl justified, eyeing the veteran doctor."Why are you helping us?"
"Wonder, is he as wretched as in the rumors?"
"I barely know him, I would risk he's a decent person." She reluctantly added."A bit scary though."
"Why would destiny be cruel solely on that child?" The old man spoke in sympathy.
"It's not like Sachy is the only one who got a bad fate, right?" Assumed, sneezing.
"From the very first prophecy to the ones nowadays, he is." That affirmation didn't sit right with her, it wasn't possible.
A wealthy college student lived bored of her monotonous routine, until one day, she found herself in a strange land being chased by a monster determined to make her lunch.
Cornered, she ended up taking her chances with an evil being who was sealed in the ruins nearby.
Now, together their goal is to conquer the world, since they're at it to make it a better place.
