Jin just so happened to be heading towards his room when the two of them left Heath's office. No one on the floor was biting tonight. Most weren't a fan of something that appeared to be broken and misused. Heath once again cost him another night on the floor, even if the one night he had with William covered his cost for the month.
Ezra told Taylor he would catch up with him later, that he had a few things he wanted to talk to Jin about. Taylor gave a quick nod as he passed Jin, who stopped outside of his door.
That's when it hit him. He knew where the guy was from feeling his heart race inside his chest as quick panic took him over. He was a cop. Ezra couldn't be working with a cop?
Jin had been racking his brain since he walked through the door, and that nod gave it away to him. He was the cop that pinched him when he was a teenager. The one who warned him that the path he was heading for wasn't pretty, and he needed to rethink his goals before it was too late. So much that conversation did for him.
Ezra's dark eyes, gazing along the skin he could see as he reached Jin. The thought of those marks on him was the only thing he had been thinking about since he saw them, wondering if it was more handy work of Heaths.
"Who did this?" He asked.
"It doesn't matter." Commented Jin covering the side of his neck with his hand.
"It does matter." Confirmed Ezra, "And I hate when you say that things about you don't matter."
He wasn't about to tell him it was the man from the gallery. Knowing Ezra, he would feel bad about it. Thinking he was the one to cause William to act like he had and go out of his way to do something about it.
"Was it Heath?"
Jin sighed, dropping his hand, shaking his head. Why did he have to care so much?
"Yes and no."
"What do you mean, yes and no?"
"It won't make a difference." Stated Jin, it happened, and it was over now.
If anything was to change it would have to be made between Heath and him. Ezra had no part in what happened to him.
"Plus, I need to tell you something." Commented Jin opening his door.
His room was more private than the hallway, but Ezra stopped, leaning on the frame of the door still wanting to know who hurt Jin.
"It's important, I think?" Jin spoke, questioning himself.
Maybe he was wrong? Maybe that guy wasn't who he thought him to be, but what if he was? What if telling Ezra now could save him from something bad or just cause him to worry more about this job he was working on for Heath, stepping close enough to Ezra so he could whisper the next words he had to say to him.
"I don't think that guy is who you think . . . . "
Were the only words he was able to get out before he was stunned. Out of nowhere, Ezra pushed forward kissing him full contact on the lips. A rule in which Jin stuck to the most. Kissing wasn't allowed. Thankfully it wasn't something William seemed to be interested in either.
However, he wouldn't be standing if Ezra didn't have a hand cupped along his face and one hand suddenly wrapped around his waist, holding him steady. His lips were firm but tender in their touch.
Ezra had jumped once his mind caught onto what Jin was about to say to him. He didn't need that information to get out at all. Heath had this entire place wired. If he even caught wind of such a thing he would be dead by tomorrow. He knew that Taylor was a cop. An undercover cop at that. He's a cop who he's been working with since before he got out. He was the reason he got out sooner than expected, lying about being out for good behavior and overpopulation.
The kiss was the only thing he thought of to silence Jin for the moment. It was also something he's regretted not doing for days now. Fuck, he wanted to kiss Jin that first night together. The night at the gallery just happened to be the first night they both wanted more, but neither of them allowed it to happen.
"I'm sorry." Spoke Ezra, acting flustered as he brushed his hand through his hair, playing that he knew that wasn't something Jin wanted and now felt bad for forcing on him.
"Umm, I have to be somewhere. Been needed to be there," Ezra motioned, "I'll talk to you later. Okay. Cool."
And like that he was gone. Ezra rushed down the hallway and out to the main floor, leaving Jin in a daze. His fingers graced his lips as he stood there. The spark he felt was still tingling down his spine. A little smirk pulled at him when he noticed Heath coming out of his office, quickly shutting his door.
Jin an omega pulled into a world he wasn't ready for. A world that was promised to be nothing more than what he dreamed of by a man he loved. Only to have the one thing he's ever truly cared for taken from him.
Ezra an alpha done dirty but took one for the team. Trying to find his way onto a new path in life. A better path. Maybe even one worth going back to prison for?
Heath an alpha where you don't want to fall on to his bad side. He rules what he owns. Twisting and mending everything he lays his hands on to benefit his deviant mind.
