With the promise of Heath working all night, Ezra finally got Jin to budge from his room. His behavior was off from the last time he hung out with him. He could feel the sadness that loomed over him. It showed in his scent as well. Not as sweet this time around.
That scent soured more as they pulled up to his apartment building. Jin took one look at the place and started shaking his head, no.
"Take me back." He stated, "I said I don't do freebies or favors, or whatever you're planning for me to do."
He wasn't going to be fooled by the sweet, gentle-in-nature alpha before him. Jin knew as soon as they got upstairs and that door closed behind them, he was done. That's when Ezra would shift and become the monster.
"I know your rules." Commented Ezra as he cut the engine. "And I plan to respect them."
Jin still didn't believe it.
"Just take me back, or I'll walk back."
Ezra reached out for him as he started to walk off, pulling him back, using just enough force to at least stop him from walking away. There was no way he was about to let Jin walk all the way across town alone at night.
"Look, I just figured staying in would be nice. Something simple. Watch a movie, eat some shit food."
He just wanted Jin out of his room. Locking himself up like that wasn't good. He knew what it felt like to be locked and under another's control. He also took in the mental state Jin was in. He was hurting, unsure as to what or why but he wanted to help him.
"I figured, this way you wouldn't have to put on an act for anyone. You can just be."
Ezra knew everything Jin did was an act or some role he put himself in to get through his day. He wasn't an idiot. The last time they hung out Ezra could see parts of his true self slip, mostly when Jin was talking to Janice. He liked to think he saw parts of the real Jin in those moments. Was it so bad that he wanted to see more moments like those?
"I don't put on an act." Commented Jin, trying to sell that what he was, was who he was.
"Okay then." Ezra got a little snark in his voice. "If you don't want to chill for a few hours then I'll just take you back."
Jin glanced up at the building, then back at Ezra, "What kind of shit food are we talking about?"
Ezra smiled, "Anything you want."
The two of them order pizza. Ezra even let Jin choose what movies they watched. Ezra, not fussing about a single thing he wanted to do. It was a nice feeling, being able to decide on what he wanted. Even if it was something as small as a movie and food for the night.
"You know earlier . . . you sounded as if you almost cared about me, maybe even liked." Jin laughed. The beer he had been drinking was starting to work on him. His words no longer were controlled and thought through.
Alpha never spoke sweet words unless they wanted something and no alpha showed any kind of true care towards him. Feeling like Ezra wanted to make him feel better, to do something to pull him out of the mood he was in.
Ezra leaned his head back, looking at him from the other side of the sofa, "And what if I did or do?"
"You can't." Ezra pulled his leg up onto the sofa, propping his beer on the top of his knee, his tone light hinting at flirty.
"Why not?"
"Because."
"Because why?"
"You just can't." He said more firmly.
Holding the back the flush he felt forming on his cheeks as the thought of someone nice liking him warmed his chest. It was just unrealistic. An escort didn't get to be liked. Who in their right mind would anyway? He literally sold himself for the right price, and it wasn't just a one-time thing. Jin had been selling himself for a while now. He was tainted and rotten.
"Look at you telling me what I can and can't do." Chuckled Ezra as he got up to get another beer. "Didn't expect that from you of all people."
"I don't mean to be mean, but I'm just being realistic. You catching feelings is just asking for trouble." He sipped his beer, "I have enough trouble in my life as it is now."
"Well then, I'll hold off on liking you just a little while longer then." Ezra teased, stopping in front of him on his way back to his seat, leaning down meeting his gaze. Their faces were so close together.
"But don't act like it's just me here."
"No. No." Jin wagged his finger at him, "You're the one that keeps coming to me."
"But you're the one that keeps agreeing."
"I only agree because you practically beg me to."
Ezra shook his head, leaning over from where he sat, resting his head on Jin's shoulder, looking up at him at an angle, "You haven't seen me beg yet."
"I don't think I would want to." Jin playfully brushed him off.
An alpha begging wasn't an unheard-of act to happen in his life. He's gotten at least two alphas begging for something from him on the daily since coming to work for Heath.
"Would you prefer it if I was all tied up and on my knees before you?" Ezra smiled, "We could make that happen if you want?"
The air around them had shifted over the last moments. It went from calm and relaxed to flirty and lusty. Both of them felt it too.
Jin an omega pulled into a world he wasn't ready for. A world that was promised to be nothing more than what he dreamed of by a man he loved. Only to have the one thing he's ever truly cared for taken from him.
Ezra an alpha done dirty but took one for the team. Trying to find his way onto a new path in life. A better path. Maybe even one worth going back to prison for?
Heath an alpha where you don't want to fall on to his bad side. He rules what he owns. Twisting and mending everything he lays his hands on to benefit his deviant mind.
