It had been almost two weeks since that night, and Heath still hadn't come through on his end. He told Jin that it was never a set date that it was something he would get around to when he got to it. Heath complaining of how busy he's been lately with a rival club opening up on the other side of town.
Jin now feared leaving the club when he did have free time. Not wanting to miss the chance of seeing Jasper. Heath placed fear in him that if he did leave that would be the moment he decided to be generous again, playing as if he was the good guy in all of this. When in reality, all he did was pull the invisible leash he had around his neck tighter.

Wiping the tears from his flushed cheeks as Ezra walked into his room. He had been crying all day. The tears wouldn't stop no matter how hard he tried to make them.
"I don't want visitors." Jin hiccupped, trying to steady his breathing.
"I heard you haven't left your room in weeks. Some people are getting concerned." Ezra lied. It wasn't other people but more so just himself.
He had been by a few times now, and every time Jin was 'busy', or at least that's what he was told anyway. Jin had left his room for work, but that was all. He locked himself up the rest of the time, waiting and hoping.
"No one is concerned about me." Pausing, "If so, I'm fine. I'm all good here."
Jin shifted some in the chair he was sitting in, patting his red eyes with his fingertips.
"If you're fine, why are you crying then?"
"Personal stuff."
"Heat coming up?"
"Like that's information you need to know." Jin snapped.
Heat cycles were almost monthly for an omega. It was about three to seven days in which everything was off the charts for them. Jin felt it was mostly his body betraying him. It was a time in which he was the most likely to get pregnant. That was what his body wanted the most during those days. To be knotted by an alpha.
During this time, omega's were also more emotional than normal. Sensitive to just about everything said or done to them. If given the opportunity, an omega would nest during this time. Surround themselves with things that made them feel safe and comfortable. Not much of anything around here for Jin to ever nest properly.
His body would suddenly get hot all over, triggered by lightheadedness beforehand. Like most, he was on medication that helped to ease all the side effects of a heat. As well as one to prevent him from getting pregnant on the off chance something did happen.
Even with the cycle, a heat could be forced given the right setting. Some omega's, when stressed or pressured too heavily, will go into heat. If an alpha with the right scent or one that was in a rut crossed paths could force a heat as well. Jin would much rather suffer from a rut than heat. Not that any alpha saw a rut as something to be suffered. Hell, he'd rather be just a plain simple old beta.
"Well, then stop with the crying, and let's go somewhere."
He clearly wasn't working tonight or called it an early one as far as Ezra saw it.
"I can't go anywhere," Jin said firmly, getting up from the chair.
"What's keeping you here?"
"Things." Jin opened his door, motioning for Ezra to leave.
"What things?" He stopped in front of Jin, looking down at him.
"Heath." He said finally but not as to why.
"Health's working the club across town all night. So he won't notice if you're gone for a few hours." Ezra arched an eyebrow at him.
"He's working?"
"Yeah. I was just on the phone with him when I couldn't find him. Said he's swamped. That this new club is really hitting him. They have an underground fighting ring. Heath's just pissed he didn't think of that first."
Jin stood there gauging what Ezra was telling him. Swaying back and forth if what he was telling him was true or not. He was untrusting of alpha's on a general level overall, Ezra has been sweet on him, but there were plenty of alphas that were sweet on him and turned out to be the monster he knew them to be.
He was also confused as to what Ezra was getting out of coming to see him like this. There wasn't any sex involved no one was making money either. Oblivious of the fact that he just might like him. Jin is unable to see someone ever truly liking him. He was only liked when he benefited others, never just for himself. There was always an alternative motive.
"You promise?"
"Yes!" Confirmed Ezra in a questioning tone. "Did he hit you again or something?" The questioning tone turned to one of concern. Even a hint of anger could be heard.
"And if he did?" Jin looked up at him like there was something he couldn't actually do about it.
Jin an omega pulled into a world he wasn't ready for. A world that was promised to be nothing more than what he dreamed of by a man he loved. Only to have the one thing he's ever truly cared for taken from him.
Ezra an alpha done dirty but took one for the team. Trying to find his way onto a new path in life. A better path. Maybe even one worth going back to prison for?
Heath an alpha where you don't want to fall on to his bad side. He rules what he owns. Twisting and mending everything he lays his hands on to benefit his deviant mind.
