Jin suddenly felt so small, standing there with Ezra shadowing over him. The hot heat from his body and the earthy scent that engulfed the air around him was distracting. He felt his cheeks blush lightly, unable to explain why. Ezra was doing a typical alpha move. A move that's been done to him a million times over. Maybe it was different this time because he didn't know what he was doing over pretending to be naïve.
Showing him how to bowl properly was just a way to get close to him. To subtlety mark him with his scent. Alpha's were great at marking things that weren't there's. Most tended to do it on purpose when it came to him. Clients want to leave the last scent on him. Piss off or discourage others that came after. With Ezra, he didn't get that feeling at all.
The two watched as the purple swirly ball rolled down the lane, not as fast as the ones Ezra threw but good enough to get about half of the pins to fall. Jin smiled, excited and pleased with himself, but held his composure.
"Don't act like you don't know what you're doing either." Commented Jin as he turned around, poking Ezra in the center of his chest with his index finger.
"What?" Ezra put his hands up, "Showing you the proper way."
"Yeah, showing the proper way." Jin had a slight sense of sarcasm in his voice. "Just like all alphas, such flirts in their own rite. Plan to show me the proper way for other activities I'm not accustomed to?"
Ezra laughed, "I mean, I'm pretty good at pool and golf too. Ever played those?"
He was good at most sports, anything one could place a bet on really. Dark eyes glanced over at Jin, a slight smirk on his lips, "Sounds like you plan on coming out with me again." Winked Ezra as he walked up to the lane.
"You wish." Huffed Jin. "This is a one-time thing."
He hadn't intended to sound as if he wanted to have more outings like this with him. He was just trying to make a point. Alpha's flirted in the same manners most of the time. They would find any reason to get close to him. However, the move did help him, getting better as the game progressed. Ezra only gave verbal pointers from then on.
They played through three games before they decided to call it quits. Ezra, as promised, whipped his ass every round. However, Jin did notice in the final game Ezra started to slack off. Scoring, about sixty points less than the prior games, blaming the change on his wrist cramping up on him and not that he was trying to throw the game and give him a chance at winning. He thought it was kind of sweet of him to do, even if he didn't win.
"I'm not ready to head back."
It wasn't that late for Jin at all; he was used to being up all night, so just after midnight was nothing for him. He was also starting to see the lie he told himself about having a life away from work finding that he was enjoying his time with Ezra. Jin can get out of his head a little and relax.
Ezra looked at his phone, "We could go shut a bar down or hit some twenty-four-hour dinner?"
There were only but so many options to do this late.
"Is Miss Pancakes on eleventh still a thing?" Jin hadn't been there in years.
"Hop on."
Ezra could get down with some pancakes.
The place looked just like Jin remembered it too. It brought a warm feeling to his chest the smell even more so. They got seated in the back at Ezra's request. He needed to be able to see the whole place, not a fan of having his back turned to anyone. Jin brushed it off as a survival trait from being locked up.
"My, My." Spoke Janice as she walked up to their booth, "I haven't seen you in forever."
"It has been a while." Jin smiled, "You look good."
"So do you, honey, for the most part." Eying his busted lip as she leaned in closer, "You doing alright, over there?"
The concern in her voice pained Jin. She was like a mother to him. Lying as he nodded his head yes. "I'm doing good."
"We've missed you around here. All of us." She leaned back up, smiling at Ezra out of politeness but had a questioning look on her face as to who he was to Jin.
"Just a friend." Added Ezra as he eyed the menu.
"Well, we all start out as something." She laughed, "I'll give y'all a few moments and be right back."
"A friend?" Questioned Jin.
"Better than the guy who fucked you the other night." He commented, looking up from the menu.
Jin already knew what he wanted. His order never changed. Ezra only took a few seconds to decide and even less time before their order was out and in front of them. Ezra made pleased noises as he ate his food, motioning to the plate several times with his fork.
"This is good." He finally spoke.
"I'm sure it beats prison food."
"Fuck yes."
Jin pushed a bit of his pancake around on his plate, "What did you do?"
"Nothing."
Ezra had been waiting for this question all night. Wiping his mouth as he leaned back in the booth. "I didn't do anything. It's what the other guy didn't do."
"Well, you had to be doing something to get caught."
"Ture." Laughed Ezra, leaning closer to the table, "I may or may not have special talents of my own that appeal to certain clients."
Jin an omega pulled into a world he wasn't ready for. A world that was promised to be nothing more than what he dreamed of by a man he loved. Only to have the one thing he's ever truly cared for taken from him.
Ezra an alpha done dirty but took one for the team. Trying to find his way onto a new path in life. A better path. Maybe even one worth going back to prison for?
Heath an alpha where you don't want to fall on to his bad side. He rules what he owns. Twisting and mending everything he lays his hands on to benefit his deviant mind.
