Ezra gave a quick nod seemed that Heath told his staff about him. Wondering just how much they knew? Were they told just to keep an eye out for him to treat him as a high-paying guest or something else? Getting a few looks from some of the guests as he moved to the back. He knew that he didn't fit in with the type of people that flowed in and out of here. He wasn't some high-class anything.
The music faded out once the door to the back half of the building shut, turning the hallway to make his way to Heath's office. The door whipped open with a gust as Jin appeared on the other side. His hand held tight against his right cheek, the corner of his lip busted and bleeding. Their eyes met briefly before Jin pulled away, storming off, muttering something under his breath.
Ezra looked back down the hallway, "The fuck was that?"
"Whore thinking he's something more than that." Heath adjusted the front of his pants, pushing his belt through the final loop. "Give them a little wiggle room, and suddenly they think that they have some kind of power."
Heath motioned for Ezra to shut the door and have a seat.
"Isn't it bad to damage the goods?"
"His night off." Heath laughed but didn't say anything more on the matter.
Instead, he pulled out a cigar from the cedar box on his desk, cutting the end, puffing as he lit the bottom. The tobacco glowed bright red as it caught.
"I assume you're looking for work?"
"Yeah." Ezra rubbed the back of his neck, "Kind of part of the early release."
"I got a security job that just opened up. It's yours if you want it."
"You know," He leaned forward. "I was looking for something that paid a little more. Maybe like my old job."
Heath laughed again. Smoke filled the air around him.
"As if I would give you that job again. Fucked it up the first time around."
Ezra clenched his jaw. " I didn't fuck it up. Your boy fucked me over."
That got Heath to shut up for a moment because he knew he was right. Ezra took the hit for something one of his boys fucked up. That hit landed him in prison for the last six years.
"How about you take the security job till I find someone else. In the meantime, I'll pay you our old arrangement until I find something for you."
He tilted his head as if he was thinking it over before agreeing. It was the best he was going to get for now, and he needed something on paper by next week.
"I'm sure you know how to fudge the paperwork for me." Smiled Ezra as he got up, "Can't really be seen working for you while on parole."
He really shouldn't be anywhere near this club or any club he owned for that matter.

Jin already knew who was at his door when the knuckles rapped along the wood a little while after he returned to his room. The look Ezra gave him showed concern in the hallway, and Jin got the feeling that he wasn't the type to just brush it off.
"Go away," Jin stated in a firm tone.
He's since cleaned up his busted lip and found a cozy spot in his chair. A book lay open in his lap, a book in which he was trying to read and distract himself.
Like most alpha's, Ezra didn't listen to him. His head peered into his room before he walked in. Jin snapped the book closed as he jumped up from his rested position.
"I said go away."
Ezra ignored him again, invading his personal space by grabbing his chin, cupping his face with a gentle touch. One Jin pulled away from quickly. In return, he got a glare from Ezra.
"I just want to have a look at it." Going to touch him again.
Jin swatted his hand away, "I don't need you or anyone to look at it for me. I can handle it by myself."
It wasn't the first time he had a busted lip or Heath hitting him. He learned how to take care of himself a long time ago. Well before this became his life.
Giving Ezra a puzzled look, "Why are you even concerned?" Huffing, "You have no reason to be concerned about me. So stop."
The two of them stared at each other, Ezra the first to look away this time. He moved over to the couch, placing his arm along the back like he had the first night here.
"Heath says it's your night off."
"So?"
"I was thinking, you might want to get out of this place and go somewhere."
Jin couldn't help himself from laughing.
"Go somewhere? With you?"
"No, the fucking tooth fairy."
Ezra annoyed. Getting up from the couch heading for the door. "Just thought a change of scenery might be nice."
Maybe being the nice guy wasn't the way to win his favor.
Jin an omega pulled into a world he wasn't ready for. A world that was promised to be nothing more than what he dreamed of by a man he loved. Only to have the one thing he's ever truly cared for taken from him.
Ezra an alpha done dirty but took one for the team. Trying to find his way onto a new path in life. A better path. Maybe even one worth going back to prison for?
Heath an alpha where you don't want to fall on to his bad side. He rules what he owns. Twisting and mending everything he lays his hands on to benefit his deviant mind.
