My heart was broken, Jameson having disappeared for a whole week. Everywhere I looked everywhere, his energy was shattered. Knocking on his friends’ room door, they stepped back in fear. Tears welled up in my eyes, my emotional limit being reached. Our mate bond was screaming in pain from the space apart, the bond only working if we were within fifty miles of each other.
“Hey, do you guys have a map of the school?” I asked tiredly, lacking a solid week of sleep. “He ran off towards class and never came back. I am not mad at you, but what is going on? You two are his only friends, and I thought you would know something?” My black lace blouse hugged my ample breasts, the hem of my black leather skirt swayed in the morning breeze. Shifting uncomfortably, they let me in. Sitting me down on the bed, Johnny sat across from me in just his white ruffled dress shirt and black dress pants. His brown hair was hanging around his green eyes, a far cry from his slicked back hair. Jimmy was leaning against the wall, still half asleep.
“Have you ever heard of the Dragon Moon?” Johnny inquired tiredly, rubbing his nose. “He gets scales and all of that crap. Well tonight it is the peak of the cycle which occurs every year. He normally comes back already. Do you know how to find him?” Jimmy pulled a map from his right pocket, spreading it out on the table. Johnny stood to his feet, a grateful smile warmed my exhausted face. Pulling out a simple black dagger, I cut my palm. My blood dripped onto the thick tan paper, a dot blinking by the water fountain in the front of the school.
“Thank you so much.” I chirped cheerfully, sprinting out of the room. White marbled walls flashed by me, until the chilly night air nipped my face. The red moon bathed the white cobblestone in red, the water shimmering with a blue energy. Small ripples erupted underneath my touch, a pair of hidden white marble stairs slid out of the wall. The water splashed up on my leg, the iciness making me shiver. The lace clung to my skin as I lowered myself under the water, a black cave sitting at the bottom. Rainbow scales shimmered as a school of fish swam by, a miniature dolphin rubbing up against me. Bubbles popped from my lips, a blue water nymph with black eyes slammed into my legs. Clawed webbed fingers dug into my leg, teeth sinking into my leg. A black shadow swam below me, my blood floating from my leg. Horror widened my eyes, a hundred blue nymphs swimming towards me. Childlike wonder widened my eyes, a golden sea of energy burst around me. Shrill shrieks echoed in my ears, strong arms wrapping around me. Water rushed around us, my heart fluttering at the sight of Jameson. Wrapping my arms around his neck, a golden force field shimmered in my view. A soft pop relieved the pressure in my ear, my lungs welcoming the damp air of the cave. Gazing up at him, my thighs rubbed together. He looked sexy dripping wet, golden scales glistening by his pointed ears. His golden eyes glowed lovingly at me, shame dimming his face.
“Why did you come find me?’ He whined softly, attempting to cover up his ears. “I look like a monster?” Sitting down on his lap, my hands wrapped around his. Kissing his lips passionately, a tender blush rose to his cheeks. Kissing him a million times, he melted into my arms. His head nuzzled into my neck, tears soaking my shoulder.
“I love you no matter what you look like.” I comforted him gently, playing with his ears. “I have horns and a tail and you still accepted me. Are the ears permanent, and the scales?” His lips brushed the nape of my neck, sorrowful eyes met mine. His ears flattened in dismay, his arms pushing me off of him. Black stone crumbled on my head, the wall smashing into the back of my head. There was no way that I was going to let him push me away, I had to get to his heart. The cold stone underneath me grew warm as blood pooled beneath me.
“Leave me alone!” He shouted hotly, turning his back away from me. “I got you pregnant and I look like a monster right now. Normally the ears and scales go away, but they won’t! I don’t know what to do.” Sobs wracked his body, my leg throbbing angrily. Holding my flat stomach, a sense of pride grew in me. Our marriage was official and he was losing his mind over what? Crawling over to him, my hands pinned him down on the ground.
“How many times have I told you that I wanted your children?” I mused playfully, wiping away his tears. “I love your ears, and if they never leave I don’t fucking care.” He protested violently underneath my strength, golden claws growing from his fingertips. Electric jolts of pain shot through my hands, his claws sinking into my hands. Silent tears of pain streamed down my cheeks, a snarl curling on his lips.
“Let me go!” He barked icily, raw agony burning in his eyes. “I ruined your life. Leave me alone, like the monster that I am.” Shaking my head, my lips trembled as I pulled him into my breasts. Blood poured from the top of my hands, his claws digging into my back. He tried to rip himself from me, my embrace only getting stronger.
“I refuse.” I wept pathetically, feeling his claws dig deeper. “I love you Dragon! I don’t care what you look like, and I am proud to carry your child. If I didn’t like you, then I wouldn’t have married you damn it! Do you know why I gave you the nickname dragon? You are strong and wise, but most importantly you have a golden heart. I met a dragon once and he helped me when I needed help. That is why I called you Dragon.” His claws retracted, blood soaking my back. His pointed ears tickled my cheek, my fingers tucking a piece of hair behind his ear. His ring glowed white, a golden glow illuminating my stomach. Placing his bloody hands on my stomach, he wept softly into my shoulder.
“Do you really mean all of that?” He whispered oddly in my ear, gazing warmly in my eyes. “I love you Alice. But I hurt you.” Horror widened his eyes, my stomach churning at the sight of my torn apart hands. Shaking my head, a weak smile dawned on my face. Tears crashed to my face, a single nymph crawling in. It’s tiny blue hand hovered over my hands, a blue light blinding me. The light died down, my wound sealing shut. Blood still oozed from my back and legs, Jameson putting me on his back. Water burst around us, his black dress shirt clinging to his firm chest muscles. Chills shot up my spine, the chilly night air nipping my skin. Shivering in his arms, a polite sneeze puttered out of my nose. A crooked grin danced across his face, a chuckle tumbling from his lips.
“You sneeze like a kitten.” He teased lightly, a small smile curling on my lips. “It is so adorable, you must not be as tough as you seem.” Shooting him a death glare, a feverish glow burned on my cheeks. My lips pressed together into a tense thin line, his old self back.
“I wouldn’t be in this mess if you didn’t run and hide.” I retorted sarcastically, wrapping my arms around his neck. “You aren’t careful, I promise to punish you.” He growled hungrily in my ears, another sneeze causing concern to flash in his eyes.
“I would love to but it seems you have a cold. So I will give you a bath, and you will lay in bed for a few days until you get better.” He groaned irritably, kissing my forehead. “And don’t you protest.” Saying nothing, my eyebrow twitched with pure annoyance. I had a cold before and took care of myself. Awkward silence hung between us, our bedroom door swung open. Sighing deeply, he opened the bathroom door. The white marble walls blinded me, a golden tub sitting in the middle. The handle squealed as he turned it, hot water flooding from the golden spout. Tossing some rose petals into the water, they floated on the top. Setting me on the cold marble floor, he gingerly took off my blouse and skirt. My lips parted to protest as he lifted me off the floor, the warm bath water feeling welcome to my shivering body.
“I am sorry for clawing you to death.” He apologized sadly, wiping away at my wounds from him. “No one has ever come after me. Hell, you never looked scared. Why?” Turning away with shame, he massaged shampoo in my hair. A lump formed in my throat, the memories of me losing control all by myself flashing in my mind.
“Let’s just say that I lost control a lot as a kid after my parents died. I had anger issues that made me go dark for a bit.” I explained sullenly, playing with the shampoo suds in front of me. “They would lock me in a dungeon for days on end, and then let me out when I was better. I never want to feel like that ever again, the urge to kill raging inside of me. So I know just how you feel. You probably should get out of your clothes before you catch a cold. How can you take care of me if you are sick too?” Plop, his clothes landed into a pile next to the tub. Grabbing a towel, the memory of our first time made my face flush scarlet. Helping her out, she wrapped the large fluffy towel around her. Drying herself off, my legs were beginning to give out. Jameson caught me just in time, sweet slumber winning me over.
