We rushed after the shadow & I could hear her laughter. The weight room door slammed shut as I went for the handle. "What the...?" the handle jiggled as if locked. "Password!" the shadow shouted, laughing loudly. "What are we supposed to do? Someone is gonna hear her." Crow says in a hushed tone. "PASS! WORD!" I was equally as confused. "Password... Moon." the shadow blinks & laughs. "Yup!" The door unlocked & I rushed in. "Alright, where are y-" she was gone. The weightroom was completely empty, no sign of anyone being there. "Who was t-" "Me... when I was maybe like 5... I think, I don't know." What was going on? "Lets... lets just go. Ok?" I nodded as Crow & I walked away from the weight room, rejoining the others. But thankfully, the rest of the class went by without incident. Plus, that was our last class of the day, so there wasn't much else for us once it was over. We began to gather our things, but hesitated before leaving the school grounds. "W-Well, uh... thanks again for the notes & stuff... I'll read them tonight. S-See if anything jumps out at me." He nodded. "Uh... yeah. Yeah, no problem." I started to walk away, but then Crow yelled out to me. "Hey Luna!" I turned back to him, where I noticed his face getting a little red. "Do you uh... damn it, do you wanna..." he was stumbling over his words. "Um... how about we both go home, change clothes & then we do... whatever it is you're trying to do. Sound good?" Crow smiled, clearly embarrassed. "Sounds good..." I waved a quick goodbye & hurried to the parking lot, where Demi had texted me saying she was waiting. She was sitting in the car, but the second she noticed me, she ran over to me. Demi hugged me so tight, I thought I was gonna suffocate. She was swaying back & forth with me, like we were dancing. "We might have a problem." I said. She nodded. "Alright, get in." I hop into shotgun & after grabbing us something from the nearby McDonalds, Demi was driving us home. At least, I thought thats what she was doing, but she was going a odd route. I vaugely knew the area we were in, but well enough. "Demi... what's going on?" I asked, Demi didn't respond. "Demi?" she was focused on driving & suddenl drove into a feild. The car was bounching a lot as we're driving through grassy terrain. "Demi." I said forcefully. She parks the car & gets out, not responding to me. She's focused on something else entirely; I was getting nervous now. "Stop." she says suddenly. Since Demi had been walking ahead of me, I bumped into her. "Demi, what is going on-" I looked out at the feild & saw a old abandoned camp grounds with a broken down building about 20 yards away. I instantly got an uneasy feeling. "The guy I was undercover for? He had a bunch of old, old stuff realting to gods that he liked to collect. I recognised a book from the cult. The guy said he found it here." I was stunned.
As I slowly walked towards the area, my head & lower back began throbbing in pain. It stopped as suddenly as it began, & touching my head & lower back confirmed my suspicions. The tail & hrons were back, but they felt different somehow... they felt like more of a part of me than before. Regardless, I had never seen this place before. The first thing I reached was a fire pit, with several benches all around it. The benches were simple, with child-like drawings all over them, almost like graffitti. Flanking the sides of the area are remnants of several town house like cabins, most having vines everywhere, but my main focus was on the broken down brick building in the center. The paint had faded away to show white walls... it was like something had exploded on the inside. Stepping through what was left of the door frame, I felt my whole body change into what I can only assume was my new godly form. The roof was basically caved in, light shining in from various cracks in the roof & walls. Any kind of furniture was completely gone, but the decore, like lights & flooring was still somehow in tact. I couldn't tell if it was supposed to be a church or messhall. It was as if the building was made, but no people had been able to go inside. Several 8 sided stars were spraypainted on every single surface in a lilac purple color... I heaved. I felt sick to my stomach. That star image was plastered all over the cult when I was younger, even on some of the room doors. To suddenly see it back sent intense shivers down my spine & nausea in my stomach. At the same time however, there was a sense of nostalgia & wonder from this building. I couldn't tell what the building was for in the slightest, but it brought back feelings of familiarity as well as disgust. I've never felt both of them at the same time before & it was strange to say the least. I found myself walking into the dead center of the building, where I sat on the ground & closed my eyes. Within moments, I heard murmers all around me. I couldn't make out what they were saying too well, but based on the tone, they were surprised I was there. The thing that was the clearest to hear was one single word. "Basement." "Luna?" Demi's voice scared me out of my mind. The murmers didn't stop however. "Returned." they sounded upset that Demi was here. "Hey um... let's g-" "What the hell are you doing here!?!" I heard that fire guy's voice ring out from the entrance.
"Wha-how-why-" "What the hell is this human doing here? You really think an old worship site is a good place to bring a your new little Followers?" he says, motioning to Demi as he remained in the entrance. "Follower...?" Demi glared at him with that word. "& how the hell are you in there without completely breaking down? What, some horns & a tail, that all you got to show here!?!" I was lost as he seemed to struggle coming inside the dalapadated building. It was like he was being held back & was straining to move foreward. "Luna, who is this guy?" Demi said finally, voice fairly sturdy. "Scortch right...? That's your name? How did you even find me out here?" He finally got a foot over the threash hold, taking a straigned & oververly dramatic giant step. When he got his other foot across, he let out gasping breaths, as if he had just ran a mile. "I felt your Aura do a pretty strong burst & I followed it. You interrupted something very important." he says. "Now, who is she?" Demi is getting agitated. "That's my mom... not a follower, whatever that means." with a agitated sigh, he looked around the building. "Though, I'll admit it... this place doesn't look too awful. Still, we should leave; I actually need to talk to you." Scortch's tone is more relaxed now & it's the only thing that makes me trust him. "Alright then. Lead the way."
