“Hey, Dallas you feeling any- GLORY WHAT IS ALL THAT!?” Two-Bit shouted in horror from my arm. I looked down at the ground. “That’s private now shut it,” Darry said and brought me to the bathroom. I sat down on the toilet seat, and Darry brought out the first aid kit and disinfect all my cuts and scrapes. It hurt like hell, and it burned so much, but I kept a straight face despite that. Afterwards, Darry put a few other chemicals on it that would help it heal faster and then bandaged it all up again. I got up and hugged Darry again.
“I don’t know what I would do without you Darry…” I mumbled. I heard him chuckle and pat my back. “At least I’m here right?” I nodded, and he brought me out of the bathroom and back to the others. “You uh…doing better?” Soda said, trying to keep a steady voice. “Yeah, doing much better than I was earlier.” I looked out the window and sighed softly. “I don’t know what I can do. My time in New York will haunt me forever. Stupid fucking PTSD…and no I ain’t going to see a therapist.” I mumbled to Darry, who was holding me close to himself.
“Dallas you gotta get some help for something for this. It’s not healthy and it’s started to destroy you. Please Dallas, for me.” He squeezed one of my hands gently. I sighed softly and looked away. “I’ll try. Stay by my side please that’s all I ask of you.” I said firmly. “Of course Dal, I love you.” He kissed my cheek, and I smiled faintly. “Love you too Darryl.” I got up. “I gotta get back to Buck’s before he gets mad at me for stealing his car.” I started walking, but Darry grabbed my wrist gently. “Dally, maybe you should stay here. You need to rest.” He said calmly. “Give me the number for Buck and I’ll talk to him.” He smiled faintly
I fell quiet and hesitated before I sighed and nodded. “Fine. Move over Soda I’m gonna lay down.” I sat down on the couch, moving some pillows to make it comfortable, but Darry chuckled. “Technically you’re my boyfriend. You could always just sleep with me in my bed.” Darry said and shrugged. “How about it?” I stared at him to make sure I was hearing that correctly. I shrugged and grinned. “Sure, I wouldn’t mind anyways.”
I hopped off the couch and went with Darry into his room. I didn’t pay attention to anything at most. I hopped onto the bed and laid down, with Darry soon joining me. I moved close to him and hugged his arm tightly. He turned on his side and pulled me close to his chest. “I love you Dallas. I promise I won’t ever abandon you. I couldn’t even think of breaking your heart, it hurts me too much.” Darry caressed my cheek with his thumb. “Awe Darryl…” I teared up slightly. “Dally don’t cry again please.” He said with a slight grin and laughed softly. I laughed as well and wiped my tears away. “Sorry, that was just so sedimental and I couldn’t help it.”
Darryl kissed my head gently and then looked back at me. “It’s getting late. Go ahead and get some rest Dal, I’ll be here the whole time I promise.” I knew he was telling me the truth, so I stayed quiet, and shut my eyes slowly. I loved Darry more than anything, and I couldn’t imagine my world without him. Before I knew it, I had fallen asleep in my lover’s arms.
