Warning: There's a mild spice scene at the end of this episode. Don't worry though there won't be anything plot related! So, for any of my younger readers or anyone who's uncomfy reading mature content stop reading after the break (***) in the text. If you choose to skip, please read the author's note at the end for a vague recap!
TW: There's a part where I describe the scrapes on Kayden's knees but it sounds a bit like self-harm. So, just in case I marked the paragraph with a (*).
“I thought you said things like this don’t happen anymore.” I rested my head in my hands.
“Uh yeah well about that..” Damien hesitated, “recently the vampires got a new ruler, Klaus Kingsley, he promised to help vampires who were starving and heal vampires who had lost themselves to the Black Blood Curse."
"The Black Blood Curse?"
"It’s a curse that turns vampires into mindless vicious creatures when they don’t consume blood for a long period of time. There blood turns into an almost balck color hence where the name comes from. It is curable. However, as soon as he became the ruler he became cruel and power obsessed. Murdering many Black Blood vampires and anyone who got in his way. He enslaved weaker vampires and had the stronger ones rule beside him and enforce his laws. It turned into a hierarchy." Damien had a sorrowful expression on his, despite him finding vampires annoying.
"What does this have to do with werewolves though? Why would a vampire attack me to get to you?"
"His corrupt empire isn’t far from here and my Father being the man he is has done some investigating into their situation. It turned out that there is a rebellion in the works. There are about 400 vampires mainly formed from vampires who disagreed with Klaus’s ways. The rebellion was named Black Blood in honor of the many vampires who had to suffer for so long only to lose their lives in the end. My Father has made it known that he’ll be aiding in the rebellion."
"Oh...shit."
"Yeah... So, When the news traveled to Klaus he sent some vampires to attack us along with a message that if we continued to meddle he’d kill us and anyone important to us. We of course overpowered those blood suckers easily and the threat didn’t shake my Father. But that was the same night you found out I was a werewolf.”
“So, that wound...” I reached out and hovered my hand near the side that was injured, not quite making contact with it before pulling my hand back into my lap. He nodded calmly. “What made you come to me? How did you know I wouldn’t freak out on you?”
“I didn’t. But when I sensed you scared- not even, more like terrified, I panicked. Especially with Klaus’s threat, I thought they had hurt you.” Damien’s voice cracked, sadness and guilt laced into his words. Without thinking I pushed myself forward towards Damien and hugged him tightly.
“Thank you.” I whispered. He came to help me even though he was badly hurt. In fact he's still coming to my rescue whether it be to fight back my exhaustion by bringing me coffee everyday or protecting me from a vampire. I felt bad for scaring him over a little thunder.
“Why were you so scared that day?” Damien asked as he returned the hug. We sat there just simply holding each other.
“This is going to sound stupid but I’m kind of scared of thunder.” I let out a soft laugh. Damien held me tighter.
“That’s kind of cute actually.” He teased.
“Shut up.” I shoved him in the chest lightly, wincing after when a sharp pain came from my wrist.
“Oh right. I wanted to heal you but I didn’t want to do it without your permission. Last time, in the forrest, I was afraid you’d bleed too much if I left you like that so I didn’t really have a choice.”
“What do you mean?”
Damien pointed to his mouth, “healing enzyme. Remember?”
“Oh.” I blushed. “So, you want to- lick me.”
“We’ll call it healing you.” Damien said, flustered. “So?”
I nodded shyly. I watched as Damien took the bandages off my wrist. They were swollen with purple and red bruising. Damien’s expression turned sad before he became very furious. He just stared at them for a moment, glaring with his eyebrows furrowed, until taking a deep breathe, his face softening again, holding my hand and bringing it closer to his mouth. He looked at me silently asking for permission again. I nodded, turning even more red. “This might feel a little weird.” He said. I gasped when Damien’s warm tongue grazed my skin. It shot little jolts of warmth that traveled up my arm and through my chest. It was a comfortable numbing feeling like someone was wrapping me into a hug. I felt my muscles relax as I tilted my head to the side resting it on the backrest of the couch. By the time he was done with both wrists I felt so relaxed I could fall asleep. Damien noticed and gently lied me down on my back.

*Damien noticed and gently lied me down on my back. He lifted my knees, unwrapping them. A bunch of small cuts littered my skin but they had already began to scab over. Damien lowered his head to one of my knees and licked it. This time it was a different kind of warmth that shot up my thigh. I gasped, quickly covering my mouth with my hand while my other hand gripped the blanket underneath me.
“D-Damien w-wait a second.” I stuttered as another jolt shot up my leg. I threw my head back letting out a muffled sound.
“What’s wrong-“ Damien looked concerned for a second before I heard him inhale deeply. His eyes roamed over me until they landed on the obvious tent pitched in my boxers. The only other thing I was wearing was one of Damien’s large shirts. Damien’s tail began swaying back and forth as he leaned closer until he was on top of me, with his hands placed on each side of my head, studying my face. He had an almost dazed look to him and his pupils were dilated only showing a thin rim of green around them. He lowered his head to my neck breathing me in and then placing small kisses all the way down to my collar bone. I gasped when he started licking and nibbling the area. I felt his leg slide between my legs making me moan when his thigh rubbed against me.
“D-Damien wait.” I gasped. “Stop.”
Damien tensed up on top of me before pushing himself away abruptly. His canines were elongated and digging into his lip as he bit down on it. A drop of blood rolled down his chin. His hand hastily moved to cover his nose. We both just stared at each other for a minute, panting. Damien looked like a mixture of guilty and mortified.
“Maybe we should skip out on healing the scrapes.” I joked, trying to lighten the mood a little bit but Damien didn't relax. I could see a million thoughts running behind those worried green eyes.
“Sorry. I’m so sorry. I didn’t mean to- it’s just your scent when you- I got- and lost control- I- didn’t know that would happen- I- sorry.” His ears were down and his tail was wrapped around his waist.
I sat up, looking him in the eyes with a warm smile. “It’s okay. I get it. We’re both still getting a hang of the werewolf thing. I’ve never met a werewolf and you’ve never told a human you’re a werewolf. How could you have known that would happen? So, no need to worry. I’m not mad or anything.”
Damien nodded but he still looked unsure. “You can use my shower if you want. I’ll bring you a change of clothes.” Damien said, getting up before hearing my answer and heading to the closet that was in the bathroom with his tail tucked tight against his legs.
He’s more of a worried puppy than a big bad wolf. I chuckled quietly at the thought. A very hot worried puppy, I smirked.
