Years had passed since the fall of the kingdom. Solara had made sure the details of the massacre had been kept hidden. The idea of magic soon disappeared, becoming less and less common as decades progressed. Of course, there were those who still were found accidentally and were persecuted for the use, but with time, magic became that of a myth.
Solara kept her powers on the downlow. When the towns people would get suspicious, she would move locations as she did not age a day. Centuries passed and technology progressed bringing the world into a new era.
Solara had found herself in a world of non magical wonders. Communication devices that could be used from (almost) anywhere. Boxes that had pictures moving inside that soon became screens two or less inches in thickness. Incredible style changes and many other overwhelming changes. And most of these within a century or two.
This new world was a form of magic of its own. It was incredible and fascinating and Solara made sure she kept with the times and progressed to fit in. And so, we welcome our protagonist to the twenty-first century, a high school student in search of the soul of her long lost love.
