Concord PoV
Three weeks after Andrea kissed Concord…
“Alright class, we have a new student today. I’m sure many of you know her, Robbie Finch, come on in.” Linnete explained. A short girl walked in, waving cautiously.
“Hi, nice to meet you.” she grinned. She came over and plopped down next to me, I waved.
I was eating lunch with Vera, Sylvia, Bell, Andrea, and Jada when the new girl Robbie and someone else walked over. I was eating some ice cream that I had summoned. “How do you eat so much without getting fat?” Sylvia laughed.
“It’s all in the morning wo-” I was cut off by a slam on our table. I looked up, “Oh, hey Robbie!” I stood up, “It’s good to see you. How’s it been? How’re you liking it here so far?” Andrea looked upset because I was being so nice to the new student. I sat back down and squeezed her hand reassuringly, making sure she’d calm down.
“You!” the girl next to her yelled, “I hate you!”
“Um, do I know you?” I questioned with a chuckle.
“I’m Margret Finch! I’m famous in the witches world.” she explained angrily.
“Cool, can I help you?” My friends were snickering slightly at my smug responses.
“Ugh! I’ve heard that you are one of the most powerful first years!”
“I wouldn’t say that, but whatever.”
“I challenge you to a witches duel!” The crowd in the cafeteria gasped in awe.
“Sure, sounds cool.” I shrugged, going back to my food. All my friends shook their heads in disappointment.
“Hmph! Be prepared, today after school in the back field. No Familiars! Be there or don’t!” she ordered.
“No-no-no-no It’s be there or be square.” I corrected with a giggle.
“N-no it’s not!” she said angrily.
“Yeah it is, although it’s a pretty old human saying.” I chuckled.
“Ugh! Whatever, just be there!” Horus suddenly appeared and started screeching in protest.
“Dude! Dude! Chill, jeez.” I ordered, he perched on my shoulder and pecked my head angrily. Margaret seemed slightly scared, so she stomped off, Robbie stayed behind.
“Sorry about her, she really isn’t that bad. I was adopted into her family, she was real kind back then.” Robbie explained with an apologetic smile. She had a very thick country accent, I mean very thick. It was quite a surprise. But Margeret had an american accent, not even close to a country accent.
“It’s fine.” I smiled warmly.
“You guys seem cool, let’s be friends.” She grinned, rushing off with a wave.
“Man, I am tired.” I whined.
“Hey stupid! You just accepted a combat challenge! That was a terrible idea.” Sylvia lectured.
“What of it? I just gotta fight her right? I’m a great fighter.” I explained proudly. “Also, like fairly strong.”
“Yeah, but it’s more like you use magic.” Bell clarified.
“Ok yeah, but I don’t have to right? I’m really agile, so I can dodge or whatever.” I waved their warnings off.
“You’re going to die.” Bell sighed.
“Well that’s-that’s just mean.” I laughed.
After School
I shuffled off to the back of the school tiredly, there were some teachers and a bunch of students there. Margret was already there, “Hi Margret!” I smiled.
“Don’t greet me casually.” she ordered, “We’re not friends.”
I flung my arm over her shoulder and yawned, “We’re not? Aw, how boring.” I laughed.
“Get off!” She yelled, shrugging off my arm. “Why aren’t you wearing your formal attire?”
“What’s that? Like a dress, I’m not wearing a dress.” I shook my head.
“Yeah, you have to wear it during combat. You should’ve gotten it with your introduction box.” she explained.
“Oh, I didn’t open that. BRB.” I said. I teleported to my room and changed into the formal attire. It was a short skirt that was easy to move in, knee high socks, very short heels, a button up shirt, and a tie. I teleported back, “This is extremely uncomfortable.” I whined, loosening the tie. The sky turned gray and it began to rain, “Hah! Rain! I love the rain!” I smiled, rushing over to Andrea and tugged on her sleeve with a smile. “Dude, it’s raining.”
“I can see that.” she chuckled. “You look good in that. I can super see your bra through that shirt, it’s hot.”
I felt my face warm, “Whatever.” I mumbled.
“Good luck.” she smiled and leaned over, kissing my forehead.
“Okay, Ladies! Please settle down, we have a witch duel. You know the rules, no familiars, no killing, if you get hit out of the ring that’s it, and if you get knocked out you lose. Okay, Concord and Magret to the ring. Shake hands,” Ms. Commerce ordered, I shook her hand happily while she scowled at me. The ring was really big, it was the field and everyone watching stood on the edge. “On the count of three, fight.”
“I’m gonna crush you.” Margaret growled.
“Well that’s-that’s really unpleasant.” I laughed. “You really don’t like me do you?” She got into a fighting position, while I stood casually.
“1,” Ms. Commerce started, “2,” I cracked my back and knuckles, “3!” she finished.
As soon as she said that a ball of light was hurtling at me, I rolled out of the way to find another one coming at me. This one coming from behind, I bent down just before it hit. She teleported to the other side of the ring, which was quite large I might add. “Rise, rise my monsters.” she chanted. The mud from below formed into a giant mud monster, rushing at me. I slid under the monster's slow legs. Well this is going to be harder than I anticipated. I jumped up, side kicking the thing in the head.
