When I read about Star Wars tickets being scalped for $10,000 online, I felt a little sick to the stomach.
I think one of the things I love about Star Wars is how accessible it is. The series taps into myth and archetype on a really deep level, so it feels like a story that belongs to all of us. Certainly, as fans, we have felt entitled to the story and characters to the point that we exiled their creator when we didn't like the direction he was going in.
And that's why seeing Star Wars elitism has always bothered me, whether it's charging 10 grand for tickets or Star Wars megafans judging casual fans of the series. So that's where this comic came from.
