“Are you sure,” the emperor asked gravely,
“Positive,” the spymaster answered back, “it has been a week, and he has not made himself known to us.”
“Will he gtalk?” the empress questioned her eyes set hard on the pale man,
“No, my spies are not so inconpedant, but it will not be so hard for them to realise it is us.”
Sila folded her arms, “send the death order,” she bit her lower lip, “don’t make it too messy,”
“Of course not my empress.” the spymaster bowed to his rules and left.
Sila let out a breath, “he’ll demand for them back,”
“He will demand Eloise back, he couldn't care less about the others.”
“That still isn’t good,” Sila grumbled, “i am not giving them up, we have only just got them back.”
“And we won’t,” the emperor spoke fiercely, taking his wife's hand, “there are no grounds for him to demand for her return.”
“It won’t stop him petitioning for-”
“They were not betrothed by a priestess, nor had he official announced it,”
“Men do stupid things when in love,”
“Yes, let us hope he does then.”
Sila looked at her husband with confusion, before he pulled her to sit on his lap, “you are making yourself sick with worry.”
“Can you blame me, Rhea-Aster,” she quickly corrected, “would jump at the chance if he came here to get El-Clover.”
The emperor scolded, “that girl-” he grumbled,
“Has every right to be angry at us.”
“She will come around,” gently he stroked her cheek, “we have waited this long, we can wait a little longer.”
Sila groaned, “I hate waiting. I just want my babies to love me.”
“Then let us home dinner together,”
“Dinner?”
“As a family.”
Sila grinned, “yes, that is perfect. We can prepare their fraviote foods and celebrate their return a bit.”
It was then that Zelum barged in, “I don't think I'm cut out to be their teacher, please just choose someone else, anyone but just not me!” He fell to his knees just before the emperor's desk, he was sobbing, tears streaming down his face, snort running from his nose, his lips quivering, his face was red and his big eyes pleaded with the empress.
“It can not be so bad,”
Zelum shook his head furiously, “i think Basil might kill me if i tell them to do another thing, and Aster,” he shivered, “she’ll seek retribution after getting all that,” he gagged, “sick on her,”
“Just stick with it Zee, I know you're the best instructor out there.”
“But this is my first time teaching.”
“And you are doing such a great job.”
“Clover puked on Aster and Basil practically threatened my life,”
“Great teachers have to start somewhere,”
“Please, my empress i-”
“Zee,” Sila commanded softly, “breathe.” She began to do a quick breathing exercise with Zelum. “Now go out there, and show me that you're up to the task.”
“Yes, empress.” Zelum hung his head down, slumping out the room, defeated.
“There going to drive him mad,” Sila muttered,
The emperor broke into a smile, only reserved for his empress, “then they take a lot more after you than I thought.
