I fell for what was about five seconds before the wind stood still. “Huh?” I peeked my curious golden eyes out and couldn’t believe the view. The whole city was absolutely taken over by vegetation, and I was… FLOATING!?
“Whoa-” I started moving in an ungraceful manner as I tried to balance myself upright. “Well, this is new, hahah…” I spun in the air and flipped in excitement.
I slowly started to get the hang of flying around when I heard the same whispers from before coming towards the window. I flew into some greenery that scaled taller than the building. I watched patiently for the intruders to expose themselves.
I was close enough to make out that there was only two people inspecting the window that had just been broken. I was far enough to not be able to see who they were.
They both had short hair, one was choppier and wilder than the other, but they wore similar clothing. Their clothing resembled camouflage jackets and jeans.
“We better find him soon.” said the one with calm hair. “But what if he keeps running? We’ll never catch up!” the wild haired one complained. “We have to find him; he may be the only one who can help us.”
Help them? Nah. I just woke up from a coma and can’t remember jack shit, is this really the best time to put on a smile and greet some strangers who somehow knew I was here?
I had a strange feeling about them, so I decided to stay away. I floated to the ground and wandered towards a short building. I entered it and it reminded me of a convenience store, or a large gas station.
It was filled with canned foods that didn’t expire until however many years after production. The place was grimy and had a vast number of plants growing inside. I wandered into the snack isle and found a box that looked vaguely familiar.
