I tried remembering anything else, but I drew a blank. I continued to stumble towards the hallway trying to clear my head. I tripped over a suspiciously thick vine and landed halfway into the hall. I turned my head and saw a pair of legs standing over me.
I slowly looked up and saw what looked like vines covering what seemed to have been a person. “Well, that’s totally normal…” I slowly got up and began to inspect the plant statue.
I clawed at the vines, and it revealed a corpse held in place by the thick vegetation. My eyes widened with fear. My arm ripped through the air to get away from the body.
I began to back away when I suddenly heard a clang from the direction I was backing into. I decided not to wait for any murderous plants and ran down the hall past the corpse. I forced my legs to run as fast as they could, which wasn’t very fast as they had barely been getting any exercise for God knows how long.
I saw a worn-down EXIT sign on the hall overhead and bolted towards the stairwell only to find myself staring at a pair of doors blocked by vegetation, “Fuck.”. Based off the condition of the hallways, I could safely assume that the rest of the exits were in the same condition.
I looked around for anything. There was a window across the hall, but I knew it would be fairly thick so I didn’t think it would be a great idea to ram my frail body into it. I paced around trying to think of what to do when I heard talking from the direction I came from.
My first thoughts were, THE PLANTS EVOLVED, my second thoughts, RUN. I decided not to think about it and thrust my fist into the window, expecting severe pain and dying from evolved plants.
The glass shattered and the force of my punch pulled me through, tossing me out of the building. At first, I panicked and closed my eyes. “I’m not fucking dying to gravity!” I yelled as the wind rushed past me.
