About fifteen minutes after her arguement with Steve, Chelsea regained her composure and continued to apply her make-up and straighten her hair, while taking a glance at the news on her television every once in a while. Eventually she switched it over to a music channel, it mostly played contemporary pop music. At one point she glanced to her left, finding that Acalea was there, staring at her. She turned off her hairstraiteners and walked right over to her.
‘The hell are you doing here?!’ she yelled, her hands turned to fists. Acalea looked miserable.
‘I’m here to help you, Chelsea. I’m here to sort your life out’
‘My life doesn’t need sorting out. It’s perfect!’ Chelsea started to charge at her ‘Now go to hell!’ she tried to punch her in the face, though her fist went clean through her body, as if Acalea didn’t even exist ‘What?!’ Chelsea’s face went pale ‘Am I… hallucinating?’
‘Nope. I’ve just set myself so that you can’t touch me’ answered Acalea ‘I could change that if you want to’ Chelsea suddenly looked terrified.
‘Are you… a ghost?!’
‘No, silly! I’m a goddess! I’m not going to hurt you, either!’ Chelsea didn’t answer, she was shaking violently. ‘By the way, no one’s life is “perfect”, perfection cannot be achieved by flawed humans such as you’
‘Oh, is that because you’re an oh so perfect little “goddess”, then, right?’
‘No! What I mean is that you are bound by your own limitations, and you have to be aware of them. You don’t seem to be aware of them at all!’ Chelsea frowned at her.‘So what are they, then?’
‘Well, it’s simple, really. You can only see with your own two eyes. You can only hear things in the vicinity that you are in. You only do things based on the limited information that you are provided with, you can only be in one place at a time and so on. Just like anyone else’ Chelsea was silent ‘Do you get what I’m saying?’
‘Sort of’ she answered ‘But then everyone’s like that’
‘That’s my point!’
‘Oh, so…’
‘What I want you to realise is that you’ll make mistakes without knowing it. You’ll be fooled by certain things. You’ll make decisions only to regret them years later. It’s all because of your limitations as a human being’
‘Riiight, I see now’ Chelsea played with her hair for a bit ‘So what do you want me to do now’
‘Apologise to your Steve’
‘What?! Piss off!’ her face instantly went red ‘You put that white powder in his room, didn’t you?’
‘Yes, I did. You know that powder is’
‘You bitch!’ she drew her fists again.
‘Calm down now, Chelsea. If I wanted to I could make my body as hard as a rock and you’ll just break your fist’ Chelsea sighed.
‘Asshole’
‘Well, the thing you should realise is that you shouldn’t have had your precious white powder in the first place. I could have gave it to a police station if I wanted to, all with your precious little fingerprints on them’ Chelsea gasped. ‘My best advice to you is to no go after these substances in the first place. You only have one body, you must take good care of it. Especially considering what your job is’
‘OK, I will. And I’ll apologise to Steve. You’re right, it could have been a lot worse’
‘Good, it seems like we’re getting somewhere at last’ Chelsea was at the door.
‘I’m not going to waste any time’
‘OK, I’ll see you later, then’ Chelsea went out of her bedroom and ran down the stairs. She went to the kitchen were Steve was making pancakes. He was also frying bacon. ‘Steve, I’m sorry about earlier’ Steve didn’t look at her, he was focusing on cooking his breakfast. ‘Steve?! Did you hear me?’
‘Yes, honey’ he answered ‘What you’ve done is unacceptable’
‘What?! Asshole! Um, I mean, it won’t happen again, I promise’
‘You’d better. You’re not very good to keeping up with your promises’
‘This will be different’
‘Drugs are very addictive, honey. You stopping something like that isn’t going to happen overnight’
‘I only took them when I really needed to. I can take care of myself’
‘No, you can’t’ Chelsea gasped.
‘OK, fine. I’m going back to my room’
‘Why don’t you have some of my pancakes? You don’t eat enough’
‘But then you call me fat. You can’t have it both ways’
‘I never called you fat’ Chelsea just glared at him.
‘Well I don’t want them anyway. And how come you never get fat?’
‘I work out. Going to the gym once in a while will do you good’
‘No it won’t! I did that before and I didn’t lose a single pound!’
‘You’re not trying hard enough’ Chelsea simply went back to her bedroom afterwards.
