Hours ago at the Devil’s Den bar.
The man was very gentlemanly as he led Eva out of the bar.
And as soon as Eva recognised her own car right in front of her, she frowned at him.
"Where's the devil? You said that you're going to bring me to meet with the devil. Are you telling me that this car of mine is the devil?" She glared at him.
The gorgeous man chuckled softly in response, as if he found her reaction and her words amusing.
"How adorable." He mumbled.
"You… you're…! Are you trying to fool me here–" her temper erupted as she lost patience.
"I am not, pet." His smile faded as he looked at her with a serious, but gentle expression. "It's just that the devil told me previously that he does not like talking to anyone who is still drunk. And you, miss… are so drunk I can bet you aren't able to spell your own name forwards, much less backwards. So, I am going to send you home for now. Don't worry, I will introduce him to you myself the moment you're nice and sober."
"I told you, I am not drunk!" Her voice became loud. ‘I. Am. Not. Drunk!' Eva insisted to herself in her mind, not realizing how unstable she was on her feet.
She wobbled unsteadily and he stepped forward to catch and support her. The actions only landed Eva in his rather comfortable and strong arms.
"Hey! Be careful of your steps. What's your home address? Or is there anyone I can call to pick you up?" The man gently asked.
"Anyone to call…?" She repeated tonelessly after a few seconds of blanking out, and her face suddenly fell and became utterly sad. There was a flash of pain and loneliness in her eyes before she lowered her lashes, hiding her clear, blue orbs from his view.
She smiled bitterly before scoffing.
"I don't want to go home. And there is no one…no one that I could call." She bit her lip, then took in a steadying breath, trying to gather herself together and holding back from just falling apart and collapsing in front of him, a stranger.
Then, she turned her clear eyes at him. There was no sign of pain or loneliness in them anymore, but they now shone with a strong and stubborn determination.
She dragged him towards the car. "Don't think that you can go around wasting my time here, as well. Oh…and I don't think it's wise for me to drive, so you drive." She ordered him around as though he was her personal butler as she pushed him down into the driver's seat. Then, she walked around and sluggishly lowered herself into the passenger's seat before propping her head tiredly against the headrest.
"Alright, now drive." She commanded him as her eyes were already closing.
But the man did not start the car immediately at her command. He simply looked quietly at her.
Not hearing the engine starting, Eva opened her eyes and turned to look at why they were still not moving. She frowned when she saw the man looking at her without budging. "Why are you not starting the car? What are you still waiting for?" She narrowed her eyes suspiciously at him. "Could it be that you're waiting for a bribe? Fine, fine!"
She grabbed her purse, but after rummaging around, she found that she had no cash on hand.
"Fine, what do you want?" she asked tiredly after sighing helplessly.
At that moment, a couple bumped into the front of their car. Eva saw two people cuddling. The woman was kissing the man's neck and then she clearly saw the woman bite him. She frowned at the sight, but when the man carried the woman who just bit him into a car, she blinked. After that, Eva saw the car accelerate out of the carpark.
She whipped her head towards the man who was seated in the driver's seat. He was just staring at her as if enjoying his time just looking at her. He arched one of his perfectly-shaped brows in an unspoken question.
Her expression became serious as she continued staring on silently. Then, suddenly, she crawled towards him.
His eyes widened seeing that she had climbed over the handbrake.
"Since I have no money right now, I guess this should be enough." She said nonchalantly.
And without warning, she lowered her head and kissed his neck, copying the girl they saw earlier. The man bit his lower lip and then released it in a very slow manner.
"Mmm…you smell so good." Eva blurted out the first thing that she thought. She was not one to normally let loose no matter the situation. This just went to show how far gone she was.
"You must stop that now, pet. Or else you'll regret –" his eyes widened because she suddenly bit down hard on his collarbone.
He stiffened for a moment before he bit on his lip again, cutting off the gasp that he almost let out. His throat worked and then his hand was about to touch her back when she jerked and covered her mouth with her hands.
His eyes widened. "Wait, you're not –" However, his protests were too late as they were cut off by retching sounds.
She threw up on his chest. He could only stiffen in shocked surprise as she groaned and threw up a second time. The stink of the bile mixing with the alcohol in her stomach rose as a cloying odor.
Shaking his head in disbelief, he half-bit down on his lower lip as he ran his fingers through his hair helplessly looking down at her.
With a frustrated grin, he grabbed her shoulders and attempted to push her away from him. But before he could open his mouth to speak, she passed out.
He could only look at her, speechless for a moment while his hands were still holding onto her limp form.
"Now you've done it, you little red angel." He murmured as he put her back in her seat. Then, abruptly, he stepped out of the car.
He immediately took his jacket off and signaled to one of the bulky guards at the bar's door. Someone quickly approached him, a man in a black suit, catching the suit and shirt he had taken off and thrown at the guard.
In just a few moments, he was half-naked and standing in the cool night breeze. He looked like a god of the night as he stood there.
Letting out another sigh, he raked his hand through his hair as he stared at the car. Then, he finally entered and sat in the driver's seat. Eva’s head fell on his shoulder, causing him to look at her.
After blinking at her speechlessly, he smiled mysteriously before he reached out and grabbed her, arranging her to sit as comfortably as possible.
"Alright. Since you are so hellbent on wanting to go, I'll bring you to Hell now, pet. You really gave me no choice." He patted her head as he allowed her to continue leaning on him. And then, the car screeched out of the carpark.
