Kirill sits at the study table in his private dorm room quietly as he flips through his journal, reading whatever information he has regarding the list of main suspects. The first suspect brought forward by the police investigators is a known registered sexual offender who is a pedophile living in the town as a mechanic. The workshop that he works at is situated on one of the routes leading to Kliment’s house from school. Speaking of that house, currently, his mother is still living there. Kirill didn’t want to see her nor did he even informed her of him coming over to Krasniy. But he knows that she might find out on her own soon enough. Anyway, back to the suspect, the police stated that this pedophile normally victimized teenage girls but according to their logic, Kliment is beautiful so he might be mistaken for a girl. This causes the police to still put him on their suspect’s list. He however has an alibi during the time of the disappearance which is somewhere between 7pm to 9pm. He was at home at the time and the suspect’s brother supported this alibi.
The second suspect is the town’s librarian who last saw Kliment left the library with his best friend, Stepan. This guy has a history of violence and had been accused of sexual assault of a male student whilst working in previous library but the accusation was dropped by the boy’s parents. The suspect claimed that what happened in the previous library was only a misunderstanding but he is still under observation and remains as a suspect. Has no reliable alibi. He claimed to be sleeping alone on the night of the disappearance after he got off work at 7pm.
The third suspect is an unknown stalker who had been sending anonymous love letters to Kliment, taking his pictures and posting them to him through email, praising how beautiful he looks. Some of the contents of the letters are violent and sexual in nature. The police did not rule out the possibility of the stalker being more than one person due to the numbers of the photos emailed to Kliment at the time. Despite being the primary suspect(s), the police could not trace the person(s) involved and had to give up the search after two years of investigation which leads them nowhere.
The last suspect(s) wasn’t included in the police’s list of suspects. It is said that there is a Group of Elite Students in Krasniy High. The four confirmed members of the group are Stepanov Chenkov, Andre Theron, Alberto Rodriguez, and Stanley Wise. These four are rumored to be very close to Kliment that Kliment himself might also be a member of this group despite of him not coming from an elite background. How this group select their members remain a mystery. People even wonder if this group even exists at all but Kirill’s private investigator relayed to him that he gathered this info from a very reliable source that it cannot be dismissed. Police also put them on suspect list but it was not made public. The group are known as delinquents at school and having been the last to have seen Kirill, the police of course have their suspicion towards them. But this matter cannot be brought up since they are from the elite families of the town with parents involved in political parties, government officials, and suspected cartel’s dealers. They are still under watch list to this day.
Kirill’s phone suddenly vibrates in the quiet room. He looks at the screen to see a familiar name in Kanji characters calling him with a video call. It was an international call. He feels reluctant to speak to the person right now. Guilt and also misery play a big part in his reluctance. But in the end, he still chooses to slide his finger on the green button of the screen. “Hey, Taka,” he called out to the person in Japanese, forcing a smile on his face as he looks at the cute-looking boy in the screen. “What’s up?” He asked in Japanese. And they began to converse with each other about all kind of things. Their voices fill the quiet room and slowly turns it from the feeling of loneliness to enjoyment.
