Shiratori Haruto
“I have a plan!” Itsuki said as he turned his head at me and looked at me with his widely open eyes.
“What’s the plan?!” I asked quickly, a little scared inside.
“It-It’s simple,” Itsuki turned his head at my mom, who stood on my right on the road, and said, “Shiratori-san, please, run in that direction!” He said as he pointed to the road on his back, in front of the two of us. “You’ll be a hassle, to be honest, so I want you to run away. That’s the best way you can help us.”
“Bu—”
“Please! We don’t have time!” He cut her off hastily and then turned his head at me, looking at me with his scared and hasty eyes. “You go up to this building!”
“And take that gem, right?” I quickly asked.
“Yeah,” He nodded. “I’ll be here and distract this shit beast from you two.”
“Wha—?!” My mom shockingly said. “I won’t le—”
“I can do this, Shiratori-san,” He quickly told my mom. “And be quick now! Quick quick quick!” Itsuki quickly dashed to his left toward the beast and stood in front of the two of us some steps.
“No, Takemura-kun!” My mom shouted. “It’s dangerous!” I looked at Itsuki sprinting as he moved his hands up and down and ran to the beast. He quickly sprinted toward the legs of the beast.
“AAAAAH!” The beast shouted in his coarse voice and quickly moved his right hand down between his legs to catch Itsuki. A cloud of brown dust rose up and covered the legs of the beast’s legs up until its knees. It moved his right hand up, and what rose sprinting at its fastest pace from the right of the beast was the dashing body of Itsuki.
He turned his head left at us and, with a little frown in his eyes, shouted, “C’MON, YOU TWO! WE DON’T HAVE A SHIT LOT TIME!”
I, who was looking at him in surprise and shock with my eyes wide open, quickly turned my head left and started sprinting towards the building. On the right side of the café stood a grey-colored building three story tall. I turned my head up and looked at its roof as I ran towards it. The grey building, surrounded by blue sky on which the sun rose gave a great blend of modernity and nature. Nevertheless, I turned my head front and looked at its entrance—a small brown gate surrounded by some windows. I opened the gate and ran inside quickly.
My mom turned her head at me stepping inside the building quickly, and then turned her head to Itsuki, who was running to the left of her and the beast turned his head to its right at him as the beast punched its vertical fist on the ground to squash Itsuki up. Itsuki then turned back quickly, punched his hand a little as he ran, and then ran to him at full pace. Irritated by the touch, the beast shouted, “AAAAAAAAHHHHHHH!” It then quickly took up its right hand and crossed the fingers of both of his hands and tightly clenched the two palms of his hands together. He moved his crossed fist up his head, and quickly moved it down on the ground with all that might and speed that he could have. A whole lot of dust rose up and the brown cloud covered the whole body of the beast up his neck.
My mom covered her mouth with her hands and shockingly looked at the beast with her widely open eyes. “Itsuki!” She shouted in dismay.
From the left side, though, rose up the sprinting body of Itsuki. He was panting on top of his lungs. “Both my arms and legs are paining, man!” He thought as he ran to the other side of the street. “But just some more minutes. Once Haruto gets his hands on the crystal, everything will be all right.” He turned his head left and looked at the shocked figure of my mom. “Shiratori-san!” He shouted at her. “Please, run! We have to get it busy to buy Haruto enough time!” As he looked at the still frozen womanly figure, he thought, “Oh, man, I can surely do this! Please! Run!” Suddenly, as he was thinking while running, his left foot bent a little and he was disbalanced to his left a little as he ran. It started to hurt a little, so he slowed down for a second, and to his surprise, suddenly, his whole body was surrounded by the hard brown flesh of the monster we were all afraid of. His legs left the ground and he was flying up, covered with all those fingers. He turned his head back and looked at the angry beast looking at him, saliva drooling out from his bare fangs. “AAAAAAAHHHHHH!” He shouted on top of his lungs at Itsuki. Itsuki was panting as he looked at the beast’s eyes with his defeated, confused, and scared eyes.
“Hey! You damned of a monster!” A womanly voice faintly shouted.
Itsuki then looked that the beast silently turned his head to his right, and looked down on my mom. His eyes turned wide. “No no no no no!”
“AAAAAAHHHHH!” The beast shouted and quickly moved his right arm to the woman. My mom turned right and started to run to where she was told to, but just as she moved one step, her body was also caught by the same brown hand. On his right hand was me, and on his left now was my mom, who was shouting at the top of her lungs. “WHAAAA—?!”
I quickly ran up the stairs, took a U-turn on, and then continued running on the clean polished stairs below my feet. The door was just in front of me. As I ran up, I quickly pushed open the door with all the momentum in me and it crashed on the wall after rotating half a circle. I came up on the roof, and turned my head right and left. “WHERE’S THE FUCKING CRYSTAL?!” I shouted. “ASSISTANT!”
“At your—”
“Where’s the crystal?!” I shouted again at him. Suddenly, in front of me, on the left back corner, a red ray of light emerged up which met the skies.
“That red line is where the crystal is.”
“Okay!” I shouted and started running to the other side of the small dugout-like structure with a generator-like thing present on the roof. As I ran, the beast’s eyes turned left and he sensed my movements. He quickly turned left, looked at me, and angrily moved his right leg to the building. The glass and the bricks and all that structure started to fall off. The building’s frames from its right side suddenly broke too due to the pressure and the building started to tilt towards the ground as I ran. The top side of the building started to rise up, and I was soon climbing up that slanting roof. “I needa do it! Needa do it! Needa do it!” I quickly repeated. I felt pain in my legs and in my both arms. “Just a little further! Then, all this will be over!” The roof in front of me rose a little more up. “JUST A LITTLE FURTHER!” I shouted as I raised my hands on the trench-like fenced structure got hold of it. The building was still tilting down, and as I held that, I soon started to run up by climbing that fence with my right hand and my foot on the ground. The time was passing a little slow and I could hear nothing as I had my eyes fixed on the other side of the fence which I was using to climb up. I soon got on that fence, the building still falling down, and looked at the little red gem kept at the corner of the roof. The building was just a little less than a meter away from touching the ground. I fixed my right leg on the fence, bent my back frontward, and moved my body to that corner of the roof as I raised my hands and desperately looked at the red gem with my eyes. “AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!” I shouted on top of my lungs, a shout which was slowly merging with the silence of the air around my ears. “I CAN DO ITTTTT!”
“Yeah, you can.”
