As I made slow movements towards the door of the library, I was nearly smacked by the door being swung open at full speed. I clutched my chest trying to restart my heart as I glanced at whoever opened the door. Standing in front of the door was one Mother’s maids. I think her name is Sili, that’s the only name I remember giving within my story. She bowed her head at me and began to apologize uncontrollably which I enjoyed yet despised. I waved my tiny little hands to make sure she knew that I was alright. She bowed one last time before quickly storming herself towards Mother.
“M-My L-Lady! T-They’ve requested the young lady again! They wish to invite her to a ball! They also requested your presence as a fact of apology for what h-happened!”
Mother glanced over at me, the morning sun beaming against her eyes as the curtains shifted a bit. She walked over towards me before picking me up, carrying me towards my room, placing me onto my bed, and looking into my cold eyes.
“See I understand if you don’t wish to go-”
“I wanna go!”
Mother’s jaw dropped from my response as I saw a single tear roll down her face. I panicked as I tried to wipe the tear but that only led to more tears rolling down her face.
“WHY IS MY DAUGHTER ABANDONING ME?!”
‘Woman if only you knew why I honestly don’t baby you,’ I thought mentally before letting Mother dress me in a puffy blue lolitta dress with white mary janes. She brushed my hair into two buns before sliding on a white pair of elegant gloves onto my tiny hands. I was astonished by the texture of the gloves before giggling at how adorable I looked. I made my way towards the bedroom door only to hear a loud whimper erupt throughout the room. I turned my head towards Yuki who was bolting towards me, tackling me down to the ground. I tried to push him off of me but he wasn’t budging. His sharp claw-like nails dug into my arm causing me to hiss out in pain.
“Yuki what’s gotten into you-”
My words were cut off when I saw and felt tears splatter onto my skin. Yuki was crying. My heart melted as I rested a hand against Yuki’s cheek. He probably thinks I’m going to abandon him. I gave him a gentle smile before looking into his watery eyes.
“Yuki, do you want to come along?”
Yuki’s drooped ears perked up as he nodded his head. He’s like a literal baby. He got off of me and picked me up from the ground before setting me down onto my feet. Mother took him to get him ready for this party.
After two hours of howls and yelps, Yuki was finally done. His once fluffy hair was now slicked back with enough gel to make him look like a new mafia leader. He wore a black suit that had a black bowtie to top it all off. He wore black dress shoes and white socks with a silver chain connected downwards the top of the dress pants. His ears and tail were fluffed up to perfection which made me tempted to touch his tail but I had to resist. He also had a set of white gloves on his hands, which hid his claw-like nails. I squealed from how stunning he looked but I was squealing mentally so Mother didn’t think I was having a breakdown.
We made our way down towards the carriage and got in before taking off towards the party. Upon our arrival I saw the prince and princess eagerly looking around as if they were expecting someone. Once our carriage arrived at the main entrance, I hopped out of the carriage along with Yuki who was baffled by how big the castle was. I held Yuki’s hand before leading us both into the castle. I heard Mother yell out my name but I didn’t wanna turn back and listen to her. I knew all too well who was waiting for me on the other side of the door. The one character I loved and cherished the most, Svien Bolt. The guards pushed open one final door and there he was. I spotted him on my one-hundred IQ simp radar, or as people like to call them, eyes. His beautiful brown hair was slicked back into a long ponytail but he had some of his hair covering his left eye. He wore an olive green suit with a white dress shirt, and black dress shoes. The way the suit looked so tight on him made me mentally drool. I rushed over towards him, abandoning Yuki at the entrance stairs.
“Sorry Yuki but this mama found herself a husband!” I yelled as I ran through the ballroom towards Svien.
Once I stood nearly a step away from Svien I reached out a hand towards him, only for some snobby noble to kick me out of the way. I landed on my face which caused my eyes to water up. I was in so much pain due to how hard the tiled floor was. As I stood up from the floor, I dusted off my dress and fixed my hair a bit. I looked up towards the noble, raised my right leg, and landed a hard kick against their legs. I heard them suck their teeth in anger before turning around towards me.
“You little rat!”
She retracted her right hand, readying it to land a fatal slap against my cheek, yet someone stopped her. Or should I say, my husband-
“Keep your grossed filled hands away and off my daughter…You have some nerve coming over here to strike down my daughter right in front of me!”
Daughter…
That’s it! I’m ready to die! Angels take me now.
I fell onto my knees as my soul began to levitate out of my body. The woman scoffed before stomping away, landing a firm stomp against my back before leaving.
“Ahh god is that you? Are you stomping onto my soul to make me suffer for my cruelty to society?! TAKE ME NOW-!”
A hand was slapped over my mouth, I recognized this blueberry and cinnamon scent. It was Mother. She picked me up before locking eyes with Svien. She sent him a cold glare which he only smirked towards. He leaned in towards Mother before kissing her right in front of me. I cried mentally as I felt like slamming my head against the wall. I wiggled out of Mother’s grasp before stomping out towards a door that looked as if led towards the castle garden, which it did. I pushed open the door with my tiny hands before slipping into the calming comfort of the royal garden. From roses to tulips, the garden looked so enchanting that I felt as if I was in heaven.
I walked towards the fountain that was right in front of me only to notice the prince sitting there crying. I glanced around for his asshole twin only to notice that she was nowhere to be found. I pumped my fist up before walking over towards him. Upon noticing me, he turned away to hid the fact that he was crying. I felt a small pain in my chest, I knew what he was feeling, so I knew all too well that the emotion he was feeling was deeper than sadness. I sat on the ground right next to him before gently hugging him, which caused him to fully burst out crying. I rubbed tiny circles on his back to get him to stop crying. His waterfall came to a simmer as he hugged me back.
“Mama said that she didn’t want me anymore! She said I’m nothing but a mistake! That I should just die! Why does Mama hate me so much but she loves my sister dearly?!”
Neglect.
He’s not the only one dealing with neglect. Before I came into this world, I was dealing with neglect and mental abuse. Crying and screaming for why she hated me so much and why she always said that she is the way she is because of me.
I clutched a good chunk of the prince’s shirt before sniffling, it was now my turn to cry. We both wanted something from our mothers, love, attention, and care. Stripped and deprived of motherly love left my heart wounded and I knew the prince was feeling the same way.
Crying out, I felt the prince copying my actions of rubbing circles on my back. I smiled a little before withdrawing from our little hug. Prince Linn nodded his head which was his way of saying thank you. I smiled before wiping our eyes, placing a hand over Linn’s. His cheeks dusted pink as he stood up, helping me up as well. He held my hands tightly before looking up into my eyes. His ears suddenly turned red as he glanced over towards the rose bushes. He released my hands and ran over towards a light blue and white rose that was still in its bud. He plucked it from the bush and rushed back over towards me, he clutched the rose in his hand tightly as a golden aura surrounded the rose. The rose glowed brightly before shifting into a small blue rose ring. I was in awe before Linn slipped on the ring onto my finger.
“Small Lady, I-I-I want t-t-to give y-y-you t-this ring so you k-know that i-i’m going to be the first to m-m-marry you when we get o-older!”
I chuckled before using my own aura to make a white rose vine ring. I slipped the ring onto the prince’s finger before kissing his forehead.
“Well then, I’ll wait for you my prince-”
My sentence was caught off by Linn’s mother and my mother slamming open the garden doors. The princess was there too, having a wicked smirk along her face, yet I could sense the jealousy practically leak off of her. Linn and I were snatched away by our mother’s, leaving Linn to wave goodbye at me with a smile on his face.
Mother may have taken my first husband but Linn might just be the one.
I glanced down at the ring before waving back at him with a huge smile plastered along my face.
