Today was a blur; I barely remember anything before getting sent home by my boss. "Go home Archer... you don't look too hot." after apologizing, I bumbed into a guy in the parking lot. I saw stuff flying everywhere as I land on my ass. "Oh no, I am so s-" h shit, I knew him; it was Mytel, my dad's friend's son. He was caramel colored & had shining light brown eyes His hair was surprisingly straight, past his ears & a little messy. He was wearing a black shirt, & black jeans, along with a dark purple beanie. "No, it's alright. I should've paid more attention to where I was going." he smiles & my heart flutters. "R-Right... s-sorry again." he helps me up, holding his stack of papers. "It's ok, really." he says. "A-Are you sure? You're stuff wasn't-" "I mean... if you really feel that bad about it, you're number will be a good enough apology." Oh damn, he was smooth. "U-Uh..." he suddenly turns red. "Sorry, was that too forward?" I shook my head. "Heh, not at all. Just a bit... unexpected." he sighs. "Phew... good. I got worried I was about to scare you off."
Coming inside the house, I sigh deeply. I just got Mytel's number & I already had a decent crush on him anyway. My head was spinning & I don't think it was from the excitement. "Jesus Christ... Alexa, pl-" There's a woman standing in our kitchen that I've never seen before. She's got long pink hair & pale skin with blue eyes. She's wearing a yellow crop top & high waisted jeans; a donut hangs out of her mouth. "Mph! O-Oh! Oh my-Archer, that you!?! Christ kid, I think the last time say you, you were A-" she says, but stops, chuckling to herself. "H-How are you in my house!?!" I say. "Well, I guess you can have this, since that old man won't do it." she says, completely ignoring what I have to say & handing me a envelope. "If David asks what this, tell him that he's taking too long to act. The cute asshole." she gripes; why wasn't I more worried? There is a total stranger in my house, so why. "Oh & all royal assistants have keys to their homes. Don't you know that?" Royal? The hell was she talking about. "See ya, Princess-er, Prince Archer." she lets herself out & I'm left shellshocked. The letter reads 'Opal' written in beautiful calligraphy. I pull out my phone to call my dad; he's gotta have some answers. So much for resting...
Dad rushes in & begins frantically checking around the house. "You ok kiddo? She didn't hurt you did she?" he says. My dad is kinda slim like me, but he packs on more weight than I do. His dark brown hair is cut short & his chocolate colored skin looked beat up. "Wha-no, Dad, who the hell was that? & why the hell does she know my dead name, I thought no one knew it!" Dad groans. "She dead named you!?! I swear the next time I see that overgrown show pony, I'm gonna...!" a frustrated sigh leaves him. "Ok... you said she had a note?" I nodded. "H-Huh? O-Oh, yeah." I muttered & noticed his arm bandaged as he takes the note from me; his glasses are crooked too. I can see his hazel eyes are tired; he's been in a fight, yet he ran here the second I called him. "D-Dad you're hurt!?! What happened!?!" he holds the letter in his hands. "Archer... this has to do with your mother ok? I... I'm gonna be gone for a while." he says quickly. "Wha-DAD!" he freezes. "Please... tell me what's going on? Why did that woman call me Prince?" Dad sighed once more.
"How old did she look?"
"I dunno, couple years older than me I guess, but-"
"Archer, I need a number."
"23 I guess."
"Has anyone else taken a weird intrest in you?"
"N-No... Dad, what was Mom involved with?"
"Arch Way... I'm sorry. I've got to go. Now listen carefully; Mahalo doesn't know anything about this. I want to keep it that way alright?"
I was so confused. Nothing was making sense. "You trust me right...?" I nodded. "Good... I love you Archer." he gives me a tight hug.
Archer had always heard great things about his mom, Selene. She died protecting a young girl when he was five & ever since people tell him what a kind woman she was. The tragedy brought him & his dad closer, but there wasn't much to really remember her by. Sure, his dad showed him pictures & talked about her, despite getting remarried, but it wasn't the same. Archer had one thing though, his face. He always looked just like his mom, freckles & all, even while doing his own transition. One day however, he get's a note about his mother & that shakes his world to the core.
