Chapter 7 The Cafe
“Hi, how may I help you today?” a short young girl ask
“able for 3 please” Addison smiles but she still had those thoughts in her head
“Ok follow me then” she gave a hand gesture for them to follow.They followed the lady to a round table in the middle of the cafe “Here you guys are, your waiters will be with you soon” she walks back to her counter
“So what type of food do they have here?” Addison asked while looking at the menu
“Not sure” Bara said still on her phone.One of the waiters named steven came up to them
“Hello I’m Steven, what would you like?” she asked with a kind smile. “I'll take a water please”Addison looks at Bara and Zora.
“I'll take an espresso” Zora says while taking Bara’s phone away
“I'll have one of your guys latte coffees” Bara says while trying to get her phone back. “I don't know how you guys are able to drink coffee!” Addison exclaims.”Well maybe if you tried it you might like it.” Zora says try to push Bara away from her phone
“Give it back!” bara scrambles try to get it “No, this is supposed to be a time for us to get things off our minds” Zora argued.Steven comes back with the drinks and hands them out
“Are you girls ready to order?” Steven asks the three ladies.
“I am” Addison smiles as steven took out a notepad “I would like one of your cheesecakes” Addison tapped Bara to go next
“Yeah, I would like a brownie cake” Bara looks as Zora
“I'll have a brownie cake as well please” the waiter nods and walks off.
“Oh, school is starting soon” Zora takes a sip of her coffee
“Oh no! I need to get back to studying soon!” Bara started to look through her books
“You’re such a nerd Bara.” Zora chuckled.
“Ma’am your cheesecakes and brownie cakes” he sets the plates on the table
“Oh thank you. I almost forgot about our food” Zora says while grabbing a plate with a dark brown cake with chocolate mix
“Yum!” Addison dug right in
“Is there anything else I can do for you three?” the waiter asks “Nope we’re good, but thanks” Addison replies giving a thumbs up. After they eat, Addison orders 5 more cheesecakes. “How are you not full?” Bara asks with a surprised look
“I don’t know, the food they make is pretty good though.” Addison replied, Zora stands up to pay the waiter and they start to walk out of the cafe.
A small piece of paper falls in front of Addison “Huh? What’s this?” she goes and picks it up as her eyes widen
“What does Addison say?” Zora asks her while trying to get a look. Addison turns around to face the others and holds up the paper to them
“I’m watching you” the paper says written in red liquid and a bright wild smile appears from the shadows, Addison flinches and looks around “I see you” the glitched voice spoke “What do you see?” Bara asks, trying to see what she sees.
The same teenager from the movie theater walked out from the alleyway, Addison slowly walked backwards “Stay away..” she says while trying to not sound scared but truly she was terrified.He laughs
“Oh you again!?” Zora growled as she clenched her fists
“Looks like I scared your little GIRLFRIEND” the guy chuckles as he teases Zora
``Shut it you idiot.” Zora snapped back as she stepped forward “What are you gonna do? Give me a weak baby punch or something?” the guy asks as he stands in his place staring at Zora with a grin.
“Don't hurt my friends you jerk!'' Addison shudders.The guy walks closer to Addison as what Addison thinks is that his voice was glitching. Addison threw a stick at him but he just stood there looking at her without blinking.Addison closed her eyes tight as he lifted a hand to hit her.Zora pushed the guy down on the concrete as he gets up looking really mad, his head twitches over and over again creeping the life out of Addison.His eyebrows were scrunched up and has brown eyes turned to a light gray
. “Come on guys! Let's get out of here!” Bara tugged one of Zora’s sleeves.
“WE CAN'T JUST LET HIM GET AWAY WITH THAT!” Zora yelled as she was furious “Please calm down Zora, we need to calm down.” Bara hugged Zora trying to calm her down as Addison looked around seeing the guy was gone
“How weird” she thought to herself. The wind started to blow hard as rain began to fall down. “Let's get back to your house Zora, it's closer.” Addison whimpered as they ran to the house. The rain got harder, just as they were about to go in the house, Addison grabbed the newspaper and mail so it wouldn’t get soak
“Come on Addie! Hurry up!” Zora yelled out “I'm coming!” Addison ran inside while closing the door behind her.Bara grabbed a towel from her bag and started to dry off the others.
Addison sneezed covering her mouth in time with her elbow
“Let's hope you're not getting sick” Bara laid the towel over on one of the chairs in the kitchen.
Chapter 8 Bad news awaits!
Addison was laying on Zora’s bed leaning against her while Bara was searching through the TV stations.The news channel came on saying
“A bad thunderstorm is coming, please close all windows and grab anything from outside that you need.Power outages may happen during this time.” the voice from the TV said
“That's not good.” Bara ‘replied.
“Shush, let us listen,” Addison said. “The rain will be going on for at least 3 days so be prepared” the TV continued showing a diagram of places and where the storms will be hitting the most until the girls hear a loud crash coming from downstairs
“Huh?! What was” before Bara was able to finish what she was saying the front door downstairs slammed, cutting her off.. Zora spoke with bravery
“I'll go check it out”. Addsion got up and stood behind Zora
“I'm coming with you just in case” Addison gripped her hand. Truly Addsion didn't want her to leave so she went with her, Zora grabbed a metal bat from the closet next to the staircase.”Zora?” Addison was confused about what she was planning with that bat.As they walked down the stairs, Addison trips over a rock or what looked like one.. Zora looked around seeing the couch flipped over and everything in the fridge taken out. Addison picked the green-like rock up
“What did you find?” Zora asked “I don’t know” Addison showed Zora.Zora’s eyes widened as she took the green-like rock away
from Addison, throwing it away from them “What is it?” Addison asked in confusion “It's a grenade! we NEED to get Bara and hurry out the house! let’s go!” Zora ran straight to where they left Bara as Addison followed her. Addison wasn't too far behind Zora and when she finally had catched up to Zora as tears ran down her face. Were we too late?.. Addison thought while taking a look inside of the room “Bara!” Addison cried out “What happened to her?” Addison started to cry even more “I don't know!“ Zora stuttered. Addison tried to comfort her “We need to get out of here” Addison said, trying to hold back her own tears.``Yeah.. you’re right” Zora wiped her tears away right as they ran down the stairs as the house started to go up in flames. “Hurry!” Zora said, jumping out of her bedroom window landing on the hard ground.Addison couldn't move she was like she was paralyed.The dented body from bara laid right below her feet blood poured down her mouth, she started to cough up blood, everything was getting fuzzy and she can still hear Zora’s voice yelling after her. But everything was blocked out, all she could hear was breathing from the back of her mind. Everything goes black, a slight fuzzy moving picture she could see herself and she thinks it’s bara helping her up from the ground as she could see her own blood pouring from her arm. It looked like they were at least 12 years old, then Addison thought things went back to a black void.Addison winced as she was outside of the house.
Her head felt like it could explode.Bara was laying next to her Addison forced herself to move as it hurt too. Zora was sitting up looking at Bara hoping that something or someone would help her “Ugh my head hurts” Addison layed back down in the grass next to Bara.Loud sirens can be heard from the distance.Zora stayed next to them as there was water being thrown on to the house with firefighter trucks beside it trying to put it out. Addison was just hugging Bara and Zora as things fell from the side of the house, it took around 5 hours for everyone to put out the fire before it spread to other houses.
“There’s survivors! Come over here!” some type of french accent man yelled as a whole bunch of people came running over looking at them. Addison cried in fear as Zora tried comforting her. Everything blanked out, Zora standing above addison. Addison blinked a few times before she spoke “Where’s Bara? Is she okay?” Zora shook her head “The people took her to the hospital since she was badly injured.They'll call us when they have taken care of her” Zora said, her fingers through Addison’s hair “Ok..” Addison said with a painful groan “You ok?” Zora said in shock “My entire body is in terrible pain” Addison leaned back on the couch “Maybe you landed in a bad spot?” Zora suggested “I don't know, I’m just really tired” Addison said with a yawn “Well you can lay back down” Zora sat next to her.Addison scratched her head
“Here, you can lay on my lap,” Zora said while giving Addie a pillow. “You sure?”Addison said with her vision still blurry, she felt like she had just lost half of her blood “Of course I’m sure! I wouldn't have suggested it if I wasn't sure!” Zora pulled Addison over “Ok”Addison replied while laying down on Zora’s lap.She tried to close her eyes when she could hear Zora singing ``Don't forget'', Addison fell asleep listening to the simple sweet song.
