“How are we going to tell the others?” are the words that break him out of his thoughts.
“Huh?” he turns to Shouto.
He did not think that part through.
~
“From what i know, polyamrous relationships aren’t common, and after the two of you got together everyone knew within hours. Do we want to keep this a secret?” Shouto was so calm, and relaxed about this. Which just made Izuku more anxious.
He tried to think through every option. Just going with the flow, and letting people find out how they find out, ritualistically coming out to everyone and telling everyone about their relationship, telling one choice person and letting the rumors spread and have to answer a million questions, keeping it a secret and having to bend over backwards to see Shouto- His mind was racing.
“Why not let people know? If the extras have a problem with it, that’s on them!” Katsuki growled, obviously peeved at the thought of keepin it secret
Izuku just rolled his eyes, “Liar, you’re just a show off”
“Maybe, I just spent a lot of time not being able to show you affection and I don't want to feel like that with Shouto.” Katsuki said his eyes trained on the food he had on the stove.
That stopped Izuku’s racing mind and started it again. How much had Katsuki gone through in hiding his feelings for me? He thought. Katsuki is such a prideful person, and keeping such a big secret for so long takes a toll. Especially when the secret is so close to your heart. Especially when you think that you need to keep it a secret in order to protect your pride.
“Maybe,” shouto said, “But you’d still be able to show me affection, just not in front of others. You’d still be able to love me. I’d still love you. But this way there won't be a whole bunch of commotion like when you guys started dating.”
“Shouto has a point, this way we can get used to a new dynamic without having to worry about everyone else.”
Bakugou didn’t move. He just focused on rolling the omlet, carefully pushing it onto itself and pouring in more egg, systematically over and over again. “I’m just sick of hiding. But I get it. I get not wanting to say anything and disappoint someone, and I get being scared. So yeah. Let’s keep this a fucking secret.”
This is a new side of Katsuki. A side of him that is more tortured than he will ever let anyone know. The side of him that takes all of the hurt that he gives. And seeing this hurt Izuku in turn.
“Let's just try it this way for a little while, kacchan.” Izuku said, walking up behind Katsuki to kiss at the nape of his neck. “Plus, it’s not like we’d be apart all the time. I’d still be able to show affection in public, and we can hang out alone in the mornings, and at night, and off campus.”
“Of course,” Shouto added, “I just want one exception, if you guys are okay with that”
“What kind of exception? I thought the whole point of this is so we could start the relationship on our own?” Katsuki growled
“Jirou.” shouto spoke, “I confided in her when i knew i couldn’t- thought i couldn’t have you guys. I knew I loved you for a long time and I knew that I wanted to be with you, but it felt wrong to like the both of you. Jirou kept me sane through that. I know that’s something you didn’t have, Katsuki, but I want them to be the first to know. They deserve it.”
“Of course!” Izuku smiles, “If it’s okay with Kacchan, that is.”
“Why did you talk to Earphones of all people?”
“She’s easy to be around.”
Katsuki chuckled, “Sure, you can tell emochick.”

Shouto knocked on Jirous' door before entering as usual. He comes around at this time to get away from the commotion that is a bunch of high schoolers living together, and because of jirou’s quirk her room is soundproof.
He’s learned a lot since he started coming here. He learned about music. He wasn’t allowed to listen to much of it when he lived with his father. He wasn’t allowed to do much of anything when he was living with his father. Now he knows he’s a rock music type of person. He likes the way it helps him expend the kind of energy that usually gets bottled up at the same time as he recharges his social battery by just coexisting with Jirou.
“Hey man.” is all Jirou says when he comes into the room.
Shouto sat down in her studio chair and let out a heavy breath. So much has been going on. He needed to recharge. So, he said it bluntly, he didn’t have the energy to try and make it sound nice, and he knew that with jirou, he didn’t have to. “I have two boyfriends”
They just stared at him. “What?!”
“Last night, Bakugou and Midoriya came into my room and said that izuku had overheard us talking that morning and that they both had feelings for me too. They wanted to be in a polyamorous relationship and i accepted.”
She looked at him, appalled for another minute, “Nice.”
And that was all she said.
Shouto liked coming to jirou’s room. It was simple.
Author’s Note: Hey guys, Grey here. Jirou uses she/they pronouns in this, just so you don’t get confused. Also, I think this is going to be a longer book. At least the size of One More, if not a little longer. I think there’s gonna be a lot of conflict in this one, but it isn’t fully prewritten like One More was, so there’s not going to be a set update schedule, meaning you might have to wait weeks before a new chapter
