my grandmother was always a hopeful religious lady, she believed in enjoying life and that death is nothing to fear, so when she got bed ridden and stayed at the hospital, she never lost her smile, I made sure to visit her everyday after school, she would tell me how comfortable she felt, how hopeful she was to see heaven, God and angels, she would tell me life is when we work and put all our efforts to make our life great, and death is when we can finally relax.

A week later she got sicker, the doctor told us she didn’t have long, so each one of us had some time with her, I went in last, she smiled at me weakly, she patted me and told me not to cry, just then the heart monitor got slower, and she looked up, she smiled as she looked up, and the heart monitor stopped, as I wanted to call the doctor, she suddenly held my hand tighter, and when I looked at her, I was shocked to find a horrified expression on her face, her eyes wide and her skin pale, she painfully said ;

‘’ t…there is… nothing ! o…onl…..only darkness !!’’ , that, was the last thing she said.
