Are you really telling me that this store that looks like an abandoned antique shop is a hospital? It doesn't even pass the standard hygiene for a real store, let alone a hospital!
I approached the old door with its rusty doorknob. "Hey, are you sure that I got the right place?" I asked the 'voice' once again just to verify if everything is really going the right way but a minute has already passed after I voiced my question and I received no answer. "Fine, fine, I get it. I'll deem your silence as a 'yes'. I'm going in." I murmured while turning the rusty knob.
The door let out a small 'creek' as I slowly pushed it open with my other hand covering my nose to protect myself from inhaling some dust. I entered silently, as if I was sneaking past my sleep curfew just to eat snacks at midnight. Examining the whole store didn't even take me a couple of minutes because what I saw is very questionable.
There was no furniture, no antiques, no personnel, and the things displayed on the window earlier are all gone as well which made me a little bit scared. Did I walk into a trap? Or is this all just a mirage?
"Oh wow, you really arrived and perfectly on time as well." It was a mystique voice that erased all of my anxiousness. I looked at the front, thinking that they came out of there but I see no door and the only entrance and exit that I know of is right behind me. Are they also communicating with me using telepathy like the 'voice' did?
"Uhm, excuse me? Where are you?" I politely asked while scanning the whole room. "Right here, dear customer." I turned my head to the side only to see a face so close to me so I urgently took a step back before taking a glance at this person's appearance.
A pretty long silver hair, sky blue eyes, a fair skin with a beauty mark underneath his lips. If someone would describe him, it would be akin to a blue white lily in the middle of a marsh. He's pretty but we have urgent matters to address right now Venaira.
"Hello, sir? A voic-- no, someone instructed me to go here but I don't exactly know why." I don't want to be labeled as a crazy woman who's hearing voices in her head so I said 'someone' instead. "It's very surprising too." As he said that, he leaned closer with his one hand prepped on his chin.
"What is?" Taking another step away from him, he chuckled and nodded to himself. "Well, you do have an appointment today. Let's take care of those wounds, shall we?" He uttered in a friendly manner while dodging my question and gently placed his hands on my shoulders. If I were to describe his touch, it was very reassuring and calming as if he's telling you that everything's going to be okay.
In just a moment, I felt really lightheaded and all of my strength disappeared but I didn't fall thanks to his help. Within just a few seconds, all of my strength returned as if nothing had happened. "There, all done! I see, you look prettier without those." I didn't really understand what he meant so I furrowed my eyebrows in confusion.
"I'm not following. What do you mean?"
"Hmm? Didn't you come here to be healed?"
"I guess I did? I do remember the 'voice' saying that this is a hospital..." I whispered and then a realization suddenly struck me. The pain that I've been enduring for a couple of hours is now gone. The bruises and cuts that are not perfectly healed are also gone too and I don't feel any headache anymore. I scanned my body and saw that all of the swelling parts of my body were perfectly gone too.
"You're an Astral user?!" I gasped while pointing a finger at him. "Yes, yes. Why do you sound so surprised when you're supposed to see many users out there?" He replied with a confused expression while gently putting my pointed finger down. "Besides, why are you in this condition anyway?" He added while snatching the bandage that's wrapped on my head.
"What do you mean? I'm actually surprised that I'm still kicking with those injuries. I'm sure the doctor that treated me did his best to save me." It seems that my reasoning didn't convince him because he sighed really loud like he had given up living his life. "Listen here, dear customer. I fixed a cracked rib, removed a blood clot in your head, healed your burned skin parts, mended all your broken parts, sealed your wounds and removed your bruises," He stated while pointing at parts of my body with a serious look.
"But you know what's the most surprising thing that I removed from you?" He hummed while looking at me so I shook my head because I don't even know how I ended up having those injuries at all. "I don't. I know nothing about how I got these injuries anyway." I shrugged and glanced at him.
"I see. Well, I think you would also be surprised about this. There was a pain minimizer casted on you so you wouldn't feel all of the pain that you should've felt from your injuries.'' What? Pain minimizer? No, no, you're telling me that I was walking all this way with a freaking broken rib and I didn't feel pain from it at all? The doctor who healed me really did a shitty job, isn't that the same as putting my life at the edge of a cliff?!
"This... This is too much to take in!" I said while biting the tip of the nail on my thumb. "Calm down, I didn't even tell you what's the most fishy about it, dear customer." He took a few steps to come near me. Leaned on me with his one hand on my shoulder and his lips placed beside my ear.
"Your non-existent doctor didn't heal you at all."
