Zeiru’s POV
“I still can’t believe it.”
Marik is as shocked as me, after what happened.”
A few hours ago, Rina got into a situation when some drunkard tried to drag her away. And despite how desperate I am, I can’t do anything but watch as she shouts for help.
This is the time that I desperately wanted a miracle and other stuff.
But suddenly, Elliot arrived at the scene.
He didn’t hesitate to punch those men and doesn’t care if they punched him back as long as he saves Rina.
But then, the shocking moment here is the fact that he actually sees me.
Me, a ghost.
He’s even mad and calling me stupid.
“It’s clear that he really can see us, huh?”
“Yeah, and he’s clearly mad at me for not saving Rina? Did he think I’ll let Rina be in that situation if I’m alive?” I’m starting to get mad thinking about it.
“Ru, he doesn’t know you’re dead, remember that.”
Marik is right, and I’m even madder that he has to remind me.
“Don’t you think this is the time that you need to call for Prim? He needs to know about what happened, and we need to ask him what should we do. Remember “the calling,” I told you before?”
Few months after I died, Marik told me about calling the death god assigned to me. And the term for this is the calling.
“Right, I almost forgot about that.” And I can clearly hear Marik sighed and a bit disappointed about my being forgetful.
I take as much air despite being dead to gather my strength on summoning Prim.
And when you say, the calling, it’s like this.
“PRIIIIIIIIIIIIMMMMMMMMMMM!!!!!!”
I can clearly imagine his reaction wherever he is right now.
Yes, I’m doomed once again.
Few more minutes, a black smoke appears in front of us and suddenly Prim is standing next to us. Wearing his usual black cloak and his oversized death scythe on his right hand.
Well with an irritated looked on his face, as I expected.
“Will you please not disturb a working man? I’m in the middle of my reaping, can’t you see? And I’m already on my one week overtime!”
Yeah, that’s an overworked death god for you.
“D-don’t get mad Prim. We just wanna ask you something.”
I can see his twitching eyes.
I thought overworking only happens in the living world, but even the dead can’t escape it.
Sighed.
“Then ask someone else! I’m busy right now and I’m not the only death god you knew. Goodbye.”
“Wait, Prim-!!!”
And he’s gone, even the black smoke just a moment ago.
“He’s gone so fast.” Marik said while slightly laughing.
“What a rude guy,” he even laughs at my comment.
We both fell silent, thinking what should we do now.
Well now that Prim mentioned that he’s not the only death god we knew, my eyes suddenly sparkles and Marik knew it as easy at 1 2 3.
“No. Don’t you ever think about that, Zeiru.” He said while trying to stop me.
Oh ho, he’s mad?
“What? I just wanted to say that I have an idea.” I’m trying to tease him because this is a rare occasion.
“And I don’t like that idea!” Marik clearly saying he doesn’t want to see her.
Hehe, this is so funny.
“Come on, we need to report this, right? Are you that scared of her?”
Mentioning her gave him a shocked expression and he wanted to escape?
“I’m not! It’s just-!” he tried to make excuses I see.
“Oh okay then, Se-!”
“STOP!!!” hahaha teasing Marik is so satisfying.
“What? I’m just gonna say SERA…”
“NO-!”
His nervous face matched the color of his hair.
“W-what have you done, Ru?” and then Marik tries to walk away bit by bit.
So I grabbed his clothes and smile evilly at him.
“You can’t run away, Marik.” I said.
Then another smoke with a bit pinkish color appears in front of us.
“Oh, no.”
“Oh look who’s here,” I teased him once again.
Then a blonde woman wearing a black gothic lolita dress appeared.
“KYAAAA! I didn’t expect you to call me, my darling Marik dear~!!!”
She then suddenly hugs Marik and if only I can capture his expression with a camera or something I will! It’s very amusing!
“S-sera, it wasn’t me who called you. It was Zeiru!”
Sera is the death god assigned to Marik. And it is a rare occasion that he actually calls for her. Let say that, Sera has a crush on him. But I knew it’s only one-sided from the start.
“Hmm? I just feel that I MISS YOU. It’s been 3 MONTHS, 13 DAYS, 36 HOURS, 42 MINUTES, AND 56 SECONDS and counting since the last time I saw you~!”
And that’s a crazy details.
“Wow, that’s precise!” can’t help but tease him more.
“RU!!!”
And I need to stop now.
“So, what’s the reason you called me in, guys?” Sera said, still hugging Marik.
Elliot’s POV
Nice, my face hurt right now.
How dare they punching a model’s face?!
“Are you sure you’re okay with that bruise? You don’t even tell me what happened so that we can report it to the police, Elliot.”
“No need mom, plus it’s also my fault. But don’t worry I guess you should be worrying about them and not me.” I laugh a little to ease my mom’s worried face.
Mom then puts away his medicine kit.
Ugh, her slap hurts more to be honest.
I just remember what happened.
Saving her from those bastards was my choice. Despite her boyfriend standing there like an idiot. I know I shouldn’t be mad. I know Zeiru is not a violent one and much wanted to settle things through talking and not punching.
But this situation is different!
It’s her safety! For crying out loud!
After that fight, they run away like a coward. But that’s fine, I’m actually tired by now.
“Don’t you ever think about coming back!” I shouted at them. Already pissed.
I then looked at her.
She’s scared, but she’s not crying. You should not, he’s there. Don’t worry.
And that makes me mad! He didn’t even help me to drive away those people who tried to harm her!
“And why do you always run into trouble whenever we met?” I asked her thinking of the time we meet each other way back in high school.
“I-I’m sorry…” she said. Her voice is so soft, and I can barely hear it.
Then I looked at Zeiru who still stands a little bit far with a shocked expression still on his face.
“Is your boyfriend that scared he even stands far away from us? He’s just watching while you needed his help.”
I said that without looking at her and I stare back at Zeiru.
And suddenly I got a slap from her.
I looked back and I’m pretty mad for what she did after I saved her. But then when I looked at her, she’s already crying. I back down.
“Please, stop joking around!” and just like that, she runs away.
What does she mean? I didn’t even look back at Zeiru who then runs
after her.
Sigh.
Is it really necessary to slap someone who just saved her life?
I can still feel her hand on my face more than those drunks punching me.
How nostalgic…
