The next day Tryx walked into school looking at the picture her mom sent her of Nora. She sighed and looked up right as Nora and Destiny walked past her.
“We have to try that,” Nora said in excitement.
“Let’s not get ahead of ourselves. We are so going to get in trouble.” Destiny said.
“Oh come on, your mom never lets you do anything fun.”
Tryx looked back at her phone then back at Nora as Nora and Destiny walked into the cafeteria. She took a deep breath for confidence before walking after the two. She had tunnel vision, she wanted to get in and out. She wasn’t like her mother or sister, she didn’t like to get involved in things. Didn’t have the confidence to put herself out there. She was basically the opposite of what a succubus should be, well almost.
“Whoa,” Ross stumbled forward as Tryx bumped into him.
“Sorry,” she mumbled and quickly walked around him.
“Dude… she’s hot.” His friend said.
“Who is she? I’ve never seen her before.” Ross stared after her, his cheeks light with blush.
“Newbie, saw her registering in the front office.” Garret walked up to them.
They watched Tryx walk right over to Nora and Destiny.
“She knows Nora?” Ross’s friend said.
“The scary chick?” another friend joined the conversation.
Garrett and Ross shared a look before looking back at the table.
“Hey, is this seat taken?” Tryx asked, interrupting Destiny and Nora’s conversation.
“Uh… no.” Nora eyed her.
“You can sit here, are you new?” Destiny asked.
“Yeah, just transferred today. Am I that obvious?” Tryx nervously brushed her blond hair behind her ear.
Nora blushed.
‘I feel your heart racing? Are you scared? Should we eliminate?’ Jinn asked.
“No, just never seen you here before,” Nora said, putting extra emphasis on no.
“Oh, good. I get nervous easily. Mind if I stick with you guys?”
“Of course not! We are a welcoming table.” Destiny smiled at her.
“What’s your name?” Nora asked.
“Tryx, you?”
“I’m Nora, this is my best friend Destiny.”
“Nice to meet you Tryx,” Destiny said.
Nora couldn’t keep her eyes off of Tryx’s soft and luscious blond hair. The way it fell over her shoulder. Those innocent doe-looking bluebonnet eyes. Her milky skin. Her eyes traced Tryx’s neckline to her very filled-out and robust chest. Tryx wore a baggy black jacket and black jeans, hints of a red tank top could be seen under the jacket. Even all covered up and shy looking, the sex appeal was strong and alluring to everyone who laid eyes on Tryx.
Destiny elbowed Nora when Nora had been caught staring.
“Oh, yeah. Nice to meet you.”
Tryx giggled and Nora blushed more.
‘This girl has a strange effect on you, is this what you call, a crush?’ Jinn asked.
“Sorry, I didn’t mean to stare, you’re just… really pretty.” Nora tried to explain.
“Thank you, you’re pretty too,” Tryx said.
Nora laughed for no reason. Destiny raised an eyebrow at her.
The bell rang for them to go to class and Nora shot up from her chair.
“Anyway see you around.” She said.
“Actually I was wondering if you wouldn't mind showing me the way?” Tryx showed Nora her school schedule.
“She would love to!” Destiny pushed Nora over to Tryx.
Nora shot her a panicked look before forcing a smile for Tryx.
“Sure,” she forced out.
“Cool.” Tryx smiled at her.
Nora clutched the paper tightly in her hands, looking down at the classes. Then she started walking, Tryx right behind her. When they walked past Ross Nora ducked her head, her cheeks turning bright red in embarrassment,
“So what’s it like here?” Tryx asked.
“Lame, this town is so boring. My mom’s never let me do anything fun. All they do is be super overprotective and lock me up all the time or just go out of town for weeks on end. I hate it here. When I get older, I’m so moving to a big city. A place with no overprotective moms and no stupid school dances.”
“City life isn’t all that it’s cracked up to be. I wish my mom cared enough about me to be overprotective. She just uses me for her own personal gain. She and my sister drive me crazy. They are always bossing me around and making me do things I don’t want to. At least your moms love you, my mom can’t even say the word love without losing ten years of her life.”
Nora looked at Tryx.
“Wow, sorry. I didn’t know.” Nora said.
“No, I’m sorry I didn’t mean to rant. I just… really need someone to talk to I guess. And you seem pretty cool.”
“That’s me, Nora Cool Pants.”
She cringed after she said it.
Tryx laughed,
“That sounded better in my head,” Nora admitted.
‘No, it didn’t.’ Jinn commented.
“Well, Ms. Cool pants. I do believe this is my stop.” Tryx smirked at her.
“Oh yeah, Hehe,” Nora handed her back her schedule.
“Would you like… wanna hang out sometime? Maybe even today?” Tryx asked.
“Yes! I mean yeah, sure, whatever.” She tried to play it off.
Tryx shook her head and pinched Nora’s cheek before walking into class.
“I’ll see you at lunch then!” Nora called before running off.
‘Is this a crush?’ Jinn asked.
“What you’ve never had a host with a crush before? I find that hard to believe.” Nora nervous fixed her hair.
‘All of my hosts were either already in love or had other things on their minds they felt were more important to love. I’ve had a lot of power-hungry hosts.’
“Well, I’m not like them. I’m just an ordinary girl, I don’t know what love is. Seesh. I just think she’s pretty.”
‘she makes your heart race.’
“Okay! Lay off it okay? It’s whatever. She just wants to be friends.”
‘You should be careful around her.’ Jinn warned.
“What? Why?” Nora mumbled as she walked into class.
‘Tryx is not a normal human, her energy is too erratic for that. She’s supernatural.’
‘Like a vampire?’ Nora wrote in her notebook.
‘You can talk to me through your thoughts, and no. Vampires have a distinct energy signature, usually pretty dull and mellow compared to humans. Her’s is something else. Something more alive.’
‘I don’t know what any of that means, but if you say so. What could she even be? I don’t know anything about supernatural whatever’s.’
‘I’m not sure yet, but you should be cautious around her.’
Nora sighed.
At Lyssa’s house, Bex stared out over the balcony as it began to rain again. She leaned over the edge and let the rain touch her. Lyssa walked up behind her and wrapped her arms around her.
“Calm your mind,” Lyssa said softly.
“How? How can you be calm in this situation? Everything and everyone I love is in danger because of me.”
“Because of us.” Lyssa corrected.
“I don’t even know how they found out Nora was alive… it must have been me. They must be watching us, heard me say something. I don’t know.” Bex pulled out of Lyssa’s grasp.
“Rebecca, come back to me my love.” Lyssa pleaded.
“I just want this to end. Why? Why can’t they just leave us alone?” Bex squeezed the railing in her hands, rain soaking through her clothes.
“Is that really what’s bothering you?” Lyssa asked.
The metal railing bent under Bex’s hands.
“Come inside,” Lyssa opened the door for Bex.
Bex shut her eyes tight, tears seeping past her lashes and blending with the rainwater dripping down her skin. Lyssa walked over to her and pulled Bex into her arms. Bex clung to her, burying her head into Lyssa’s chest, crying loudly, but it sounded like nothing compared to the roar of the rain.
“Rebecca,” Lyssa held her tightly.
“Why won’t she let me see her Lyssa? Why won’t she let me… It wasn’t my fault.” Bex sobbed.
“We can’t control what Joan decides. It’s her daughter, we have to respect that.” Lyssa said.
“It’s not fair. She’s not fair. It was an accident. Nora is so old now, she doesn’t even know who we are. Who I am. I just want to hold her again.” Bex sobbed.
Lyssa sighed.
“Joan is so cruel. I could have been here to save my parents. I could have been here! If she hadn’t forced us away I could have been here! I could have saved them!”
“Shh…” Lyssa soothed her.
Lyssa forced Bex back to look Bex in the eyes. Bex’s eyes flickered back and forth between red and hazel. Lyssa caressed her cheek.
“Stay with me,” Lyssa said.
Bex took a shaky breath and calmed herself enough to keep her eyes normal.
“I don’t want to lose you again. Please, my love, stay with me.” Lyssa begged.
“I’m trying.” Bex hiccupped.
“I know.” Lyssa kissed her.
Bex rested her forehead against Lyssa’s.
The truth was Bex was constantly going in and out of a rage ever since her parent's death. She had been in a straight rage for a month before coming to Thorndale. Lyssa tried to keep Bex from slipping back into a rage but Bex’s emotions were running high and her self-control seemed to go out the window the moment she lost her parents.
Once she went into a rage Bex ran off on her own to look for the ones responsible. Lyssa had to go after her. It was a whole thing. But when she finally did catch up to Bex she was able to talk her down and get her to come back, but that didn’t stop Bex from constantly going in and out of rages. It was a very stressful time for the two.
“Come inside,” Lyssa whispered as water dripped down their faces.
Bex shook her head no.
“Rebecca please.”
“Until my heart gets what it wants, my soul will not rest.” Bex whispered to her in Spanish.
“It hurts me to see you like this,” Lyssa admitted.
“I’m sorry, maybe we should just break our bond,” Bex said.
“No.” Lyssa pulled Bex closer. “Don’t ever say that again. Till eternal death do us part.”
Bex slowly closed the space between them and kissed Lyssa. Lyssa closed her eyes and deepened the kiss.
Thunder rumbled all around them as Bex picked Lyssa up in her arms and slammed her against the railing.
Lyssa moaned into Bex’s mouth, wringing her hands in Bex’s long wet hair. Bex dug her nails into the back of Lyssa’s shirt, ripping it open.
“Uh… should we bother them?” one of their pack members asked Vinny as his hand lingered on the balcony door where he planned to interrupt them.
He eyed the two and sighed.
“No,” his hand fell to his side. “They need this. Come on,” Vinny quickly left the room and shut the door behind them.
“But we need to plan our next move,” Deno, a young vampire around Bex’s age in both looks and change. He had a long scar going down his face from his forehead to his cheek, past his right eye which was blind. The scar was a lighter color compared to his soft caramel skin tone. He wore a loose muscle shirt and salmon pink-colored shorts. He’s very muscular and skinny, too skinny in some areas which made him look boney.
“It’s okay, let them have a break. It’s not an emergency.”
“Where are they?” Cali, another pack member asked.
Cali is tall and looks to be in her early 20’s, but she’s much older than that. She has long honey blond hair and tan skin. Her eyes are blue which matches the light blue flannel tied around her waist.
“We put a do not disturb sign on the door,” Deno joked.
Cali facepalmed.
“Leave them alone, they need it. They need to relax.” Vinny said.
“God knows we all need some of that,” The older vampire said as he kicked his feet up on the coffee table.
“Please spare us, Cedric.” Another female vampire came out of the kitchen drinking a blood bag.
She’s the youngest looking vampire in the house, she was turned when she was 15. She has dark green eyes and olive skin. She’s fairly short and spunky looking, though she was the smallest and the youngest she was often regarded as the toughest. She had dark brown hair which she always kept in a tight ponytail.
“What do you know about that huh Nico?”
“Shut up before I pull your innards through your as—”
“Language.” Maple, an older female vampire said.
“Bite me,” Nico jumped up on the stair railing and sat there.
“Let Valyssa take a break for a moment. Besides we are still waiting for Kitch and the others to get here too. We’ll start planning when they get here.” Vinny said.
“I have a question,” Nico said.
They all turned to her.
“Is me getting the previous baby room a jab at me?”
Everyone laughed.
“Haha, I’ll kill you all in your sleep.” She glared at them.
Just then they heard the loud moaning of Bex and they all cringed.
“Okay, last one out is a rotten egg!” Nico jumped down and used her super-speed to leave the house.
Everyone got up and ran out right behind her, busying themselves until Bex and Lyssa were done.
“You’re being too loud,” Lyssa said as she moved her hips against Bex’s body.
“I don’t care.” Bex grabbed her hips and moved back against her.
Lyssa moaned and dug her nails into the bed.
“I’m tired of being quiet, I want to be loud.” Bex dug her nails into Lyssa’s skin.
“Then be loud,” Lyssa kissed her way up Bex’s chest to her neck.
Bex closed her eyes and moaned loudly.
“Louder,” Lyssa whispered into her ear.
“Lyssa!” Bex moaned.
“I can’t hear you,” Lyssa smirked against her skin.
Bex’s breathing became erratic she ran her hands up Lyssa’s back before digging her nails into Lyssa’s shoulders. Her moans gradually got louder and louder before her body locked up and she squeezed Lyssa tightly.
“Much better,” Lyssa kissed Bex on the lips.
Bex pulled back and steadied her breathing, resting her head against Lyssa’s shoulder as Lyssa laid on top of her. Lyssa began to move but Bex held her still. Lyssa smiled at her and relaxed into her.
“I don’t care what we have to face, don’t you ever leave me. Okay?” Bex said softly.
“Never.”
“I mean it, don’t die. Or I’ll die with you, of heart break.”
“Shh, it’s okay. No one is going to die.”
“You better not, I’ll burn the whole world down if you do.”
“I have no doubt that you will,” Lyssa ran her fingers through Bex’s hair.
“I’m scared…”
“I know my love, I know. But if I’ve said it once I’ve said it a thousand times, trust me. If we work together nothing can stop us.”
“I do trust you.”
“And I you,” Lyssa kissed her forehead.
Bex kissed her on the lips, quickly turning it into a makeout session. Then she moved so that Lyssa was on her back and Bex was on top of her.
“Your turn,” Bex whispered against Lyssa’s lips.
Lyssa’s breath got caught in her throat as Bex moved down her body and went between her legs. Lyssa closed her eyes and let out a soft moan, digging her fingers into the bed once more.
