When the two had come down from their high – literally – only the two annoying cousins looked at them suspiciously, as if they had just made out for a whole half-an-hour. Unknown to the two cousins, that was certainly the case here.
The whole-time during dinner, Lauren and Scarlet kept glancing at each other like love struck teenagers, and the only thing that was wrong with the whole situation was the fact that they glanced at each other when the other wasn’t looking, making it seem like a scene straight out of a movie, about an unrequited love.
After dinner, the male members of the family were praised for their great cooking skills by the women and the children.
The desert was bought from the superstore that was near their house, which was a huge tub of chocolate ice-cream, which was Granny Payne’s favorite.
Pudding was yipping in her lap while she savored every bite of her small scoop of ice-cream since she was only allowed a little. When everything was done with, and Blake and Kevin were ordered to wash the dishes, everyone moved into the living room. Lauren and Scarlet, however, took the excuse of being tired and went up to the guest room with shy smiles sent each other’s way.
“Can we cuddle again now?” Scarlet asked just as she plopped down on to her mattress where she slept alone. “You are such a great human pillow.”
“And you are always so warm.” Lauren spoke as she sat down next to Scarlet, who went to lay down on her back with her hands tucked underneath her head. She stared up at Lauren with an adoring stare before she patted the space beside her as if telling Lauren to lay down as well.
Lauren smiled adorably before laying down beside the older woman. She snuggled closer to Scarlet’s body, as she placed her head, on top of Scarlet’s arm and her own arm wrapped around her torso.
“Do you remember the time when we first met?” Lauren asked all of a sudden as she closed her eyes and entangled her own legs with Scarlet’s. “When you were wearing that awful dress in the name of fashion.”
Lauren raised her head up and looked at Scarlet in disbelief. “That was my first photo shoot, first-timers get awful dresses.” Scarlet smiled before she pecked Lauren’s forehead, getting a blush from the blonde.
“I wanted to get your digits but I had a girlfriend and…...” Scarlet trailed off with a frown, and Lauren, judging by the instant silence, raised her head again and looked at Scarlet.
“Let’s introduce ourselves again.” Lauren excitedly spoke as she sat up completely getting a confused look from the older woman, as she sat up as well.
“Hi, I’m Lauren. I’m 21 years old and I work as a model. My favorite color is pink.” Lauren brought her hand in front of Scarlet, for her to shake.
Scarlet chuckled before she shook the blonde’s hand while speaking, “Hey Lauren, I’m Scarlet. I’m older than you and at the moment, I’m unemployed. And my favorite color is blue.” Lauren smiled brightly as Scarlet stopped talking. “See, now you can ask for my number.”
“But, I already have your number.” Lauren frowned before she grabbed Scarlet’s phone from under the pillow. “Hey, how’d you know I keep it there?” Scarlet questioned in disbelief as Lauren smirked before she shrugged. “Secret.”
Scarlet simply shook her head with a smile on her face as she watched the blonde tap away on her phone. After a while of tapping here and there, Lauren handed the phone to Scarlet.
“What did you do?” Scarlet asked as she began to look at her phone with a raised eyebrow. “Oh, I just deleted my number and then re-added it.”
Laughing, Scarlet just brought her arms around the blonde’s shoulders and embraced her completely. They fell on their sides, still embracing each other as Lauren began to giggle adorably. They didn’t know when, but they fell asleep in each other’s arms, with their legs tangled together and their faces holding content smiles.
When Blake and Juliet came to sleep, they saw the two women cuddling and cooed at the sight before they took several photos. Greg was sad that he wasn’t invited to the cuddle party but he still went ahead and cuddled with Scarlet’s back, since she was laying on her side.
The twins were indifferent to the whole situation, that they just went to sleep.

Waking up, Scarlet noticed a lot of things. Like first-of-fall, how Lauren had her whole body atop of Scarlet’s and was snoring lightly. The other things that she noticed was the way Greg was on the other half of her body that Lauren hadn’t occupied yet.
She was underneath the body weight of two people but still she was enjoying herself. She knew how Greg got jealous when someone else was taking his place, and this time Lauren was the one that was taking his place.
Scarlet yawned with the after-effects of sleeping before she looked at the two pair of eyes that were staring at her.
“Had a good night’s sleep?” Juliet smirked as she asked with sarcasm dripping from her mouth. Scarlet rolled her eyes at her cousins before she tried to feel her arms that were wrapped around both Lauren and Greg’s bodies.
“You know, we took some great pictures. We could use them for blackmail.”
Scarlet squinted her eyes at the two before she spoke, “You wouldn’t.”
Blake nodded with a smirk, “We totally would.” Scarlet glared at the two for a while, and both the cousins felt uncomfortable under the glare of Scarlet, before they broke. “Okay, okay. We won’t.”
Scarlet smirked and heard a little giggle from the blonde woman that was now trying to sit up on the mattress but was failing because of the arm that kept pulling her back.
“I need to pee.” Lauren whined and, Juliet and Blake laughed with snorts. Scarlet stared at the blonde woman before she smirked and let the blonde go.
“You two are so cute together.” Juliet cooed which made Lauren blush deeply, but before anyone could notice, she rushed into the bathroom after getting off of the mattress.
“You two are so annoying.” Scarlet spoke as she threw a stray pillow at the two cousins getting a laugh from Blake and a scream from Juliet.
Greg, who was in scarlet’s arms, stirred before he woke up with a loud whine. “Look what you did, you woke him up.” Juliet pointed at a now awake Greg. “Me? You were the one that screamed like a witch.” Scarlet smirked when she saw her younger cousin open her mouth, ready to fight with Scarlet.
Greg, on the other hand, glared at Juliet before he went out of the room, maybe to find his mother – Wanda.
In the bathroom, Lauren was washing her hands after doing her business and was also laughing at the two cousins’ bickering which she could hear clearly.
Juliet and Scarlet were still having a verbal combat when Vanessa rushed into the room and slammed the door shut before locking it.
“What the…?” Scarlet was cut off by a deathly look that Vanessa threw her way. “Don’t even finish that sentence.” She warned with a finger before she sighed.
Juliet and Blake glanced at each other before they looked at Vanessa with curious stares. “Why are you in the peasants’ room?” Blake teased as he arched an eyebrow in question while looking at the oldest cousin in the family.
“Kevin’s parents are here earlier than expected.” She spoke with a worried expression as she brought her fingers to her mouth before biting on her nails. A nervous habit that she had developed in her teenage years.
“So? What does that have to do with us?” Juliet asked as she crossed her arms across her chest. “Well, they are extremely judgmental and annoying. And also, they prey on young people.”
“Okay, that’s a bit of exaggeration.” Scarlet laughed as she got off of the mattress and walked over to her sister. “Kevin’s a nice guy and I’m guessing his parents are nice people too.”
Vanessa smiled nervously at her sister.
