"Uhm... I said your savior is here?" He repeated seemingly expecting some sort of response from me.
But I just tilted my head in confusion. For a moment I blankly stared at him before I realized he was still waiting for me to say something. "I don't understand what that's suppose to mean?"
"It's... uhm from a movie... I thought it was cool..." He replied whit a frown and then turned towards Peter, who was was leaning against the doorframe, with his hands stuffed into and his usual blank expression.
"It was cool, right?" Preston questioned him.
The bond only looked at him for a brief moment, nodded and then when right back to starring at me with those his cold gray eyes that made my skin crawl.
The blond hadn't really given Preston much of a response but the dark skinned man still seemed very happy that he had gotten his friends approval.
I glanced in Peter's direction, to afraid of looking directly at him because of how it always made me feel, and silently questioning if he really found it 'cool' or if he was just being polite about it.
Fucking weirdo. Why can't he be more like his friend? Preston doesn't give me chills all over my body...no wait... when we touched...
Suddenly the dark-haired man clapped his hands together, drawing my attention back to him.
"Okay first let's get you out of that 'totally stylish' jacket and then we have to get out of here." He cheerfully exclaimed and reached out his hand to grab me.
"What?! NO! Don't you dare touch me!" I yelled, remembering how his touch had already felt like an electric shook when I was pumped full with drugs.
It will be probably feel worse now that my senses aren't dulled. I thought and took a deep breath.
"Why should I even come with you?" I questioned them, on one hand to get somesort of explanation for what they actually wanted from me and on the other hand to buy more time to prepare myself for Preston's electrifying touch.
"Well...uhm...because we are here to rescue you?" Preston stammered and gave he a confused look. I groaned frustrated that he didn't understood that this wasn't much of an explanation. "That's seriously stupidest reasoning I've ever heard. Besides how did you even get in here in the first place? I seriously doubt they just handed you the keys."
Preston opened his mouth to say something but before he could Peter suddenly interrupted him. "If you come with us we will help you."
It took me a moment to get over the shock of hearing his deep, booming voice for the first time but then I snapped back "Oh really?! And with what exactly do you think I would need your god damn help with?"
"With your abilities ofcourse." Preston chimed in.
Confused I raised an eyebrow and gave him a questioning look but he once again didn't seem to understand and just kept on smiling. So I straight up asked him what the hell he was talking about.
"I mean your time traveling powers." He replied as if it was the most obvious thing.
"Time....travel?"
"Yes." He affirmed, while smiling from ear to ear, giving me the expression that he genuinely believed what he just said. For a moment I was baffled because I had assumed that he was sane but then I could no longer my amusement about it.
"Time travel." I laughed, wiping tears from the corners of my eyes. "Wow and I thought I was the crazy one here. You seriously thing time travel exists?!"
Preston frowned and whimpered barely loud enough for me to hear, "But it's true." Seeing him so genuinely hurt by my reaction made my laughter almost emidietley die down.
Uncomfortably I shifted around and then told Preston that I didn't mean to make fun of him but that the idea of time travel was just too ridiculous for me. He nodded but still seemed somewhat upset.
Before I could come up with something that would cheer him up while also not giving into his delusion about tine travelelse, Peter suddenly came over to me.
He crouched down in front of me, grabbed my shoulder and then without saying a single word, pushed me around, so that my face was pressed against the wall.
I was scared of what he was about to do to me so I tried to get out of his grip but because he was so much stronger then me I failed miserably.
"Let me go!" I yelled, while continuing to struggle against his hold. At first he didn't react but when I screamed it one more time, even louder then before he finally let go of me.
Angrily I truned back around, ready to give him a piece of my mind, when I noticed that my arms were finally free. Surprised I looked at him. He still looked at bored as always but for a split second I believed to have seen a slight glimmer of smugness in his eyes that just rubbed me the wrong way.
Fucking bastard. He could have just said what he was going to do, instead of assaulting me like that! I thought and rolled my stiff shoulders. After not having been able to move them in days the felt horrible and made loud cracking sounds.
Peter slowly got up again and held out his hand for me to take. I vehemently shook my head. "I'm not going anywhere with either of you."
"We don't go anywhere else. Just grab my hand." He ominously stated, the tone in his voice only changing ever so slightly when saying the word 'anywhere'.
For a moment thought about it, it was true that I had nothing to lose by just grabbing his hand.
If they would have wanted to hurt me they would have already done so. Besides maybe if I play along they either leave me alone again or an orderly finally shows up.
I sighed and took his hand, almost expecting it to get shooked like when Preston touched me. But to my surprise it didn't feel anything like that. Instead my head suddenly started to hurt and my stomach felt like someone had just punched me in my guts, making me almost throw up.
Before I could even start to get over the pain everything around me suddenly seem to melt away. It was almost like how my visions usually started, just with the key differences that this time everything seemed to reverse. Where normally everything rapidly aged and decade around me, now it looked more like everything deconstructed by it self.
I looked back at Peter, expecting him to be either a skeleton or having disappeared entirely but to my surprise he was still there holding my hand. There was not even a single thing that had changed about him.
"What the..." I mumbled to my self and turned to take in our surroundings. We were standing in a clearing, with tall pine trees surrounding us and tall gras that almost reached up to my hip.
"Told you we weren't going anywhere." He coldly stated and then added with an expression I could really interpret, "Time travel is pretty neat, isn't it?"
So it's real? Time travel is real?!
Still dumbfounded by what was going on I asked Peter where, or rather when we where. He shrugged and then explained, "Don't know, I didn't really concentrate. But try not to step on anything. You never know what effects it can have."
I was about to ask him how we were going to get back when I noticed him staring off into the distance, his eyes wide open and his already fair skin even paler then before. Quickly I turned my head towards the direction he was looking at.
At first I didn't see anything but then I caught movement between the tall trees. Horrified I emidietley froze in place, not even daring to blink or breathe.
