"Elaine," I asked
"is this is the place where we could purchase "Legendary" equipment," I asked
Half-expecting her to burst out a "Sorry Sir-hero"
"I maybe overdid it when I said legendary. But the weapons here sure are well made, and you can only find B-class to A-class equipment here. And if you will pay a lot, you can even get AA-rank equipment. And we have a good amount of money. Because of your status as a hero, the palace supports you financially'"
"No, no, we will buy nothing in this worthless, snobby place. Take me to the shabbiest store in the city, let's take the carriage so we can get there faster"
"well.."
By the time we arrived at the place I asked (demanded) to go to, she asked "Sir Hero, why would you like to purchase something here. No one has ever seen the owner go out of the house, maybe he's even dead"
I smirked Yes, that's even better, maybe he's been working on a new weapon, I thought. I have to see this.
I immediately opened the door with a kick, leaving a big bang when the door hit the wall. I wanted to be badass; I was the hero, after all. "Who the hell dares to barge into my blacksmith shop, get the hell out of here already," a voice said, and right after that, a grumpy dwarf came out of the basement door. The entire face of his covered ash and grim. In his right hand, he held his forging hammer.
"I'm here to buy some books," I said calmly "Are you deaf kid? I said to get the hell out of here," the dwarven man answered. The old man sure knows how to be aggressive. It almost feels like my hair is being blown around by the geezer's roars.
"I'll pay you as much as you want, just let me see and buy some stuff," I said with a hint of irritation in my voice "Hmm how far are you willing to pay," the dwarf asked "I could pay you as far as gold coins"
When the dwarf heard the word "gold coins" I could see money in the dwarf eye's,
"Follow me, kid," "Elaine, you just wait there I'll be back," I said, looking over my shoulder and she nodded
The dwarf's workshop was underground and the whole underground passage was beautiful with silver metal that made a soft tone every time someone stepped on them and the lights were like the sun itself but just the size of my palm. At the end of the passage, I finally saw the dwarf's workshop, but someone or something was waiting by the door.
It had a black stick man like-body and two big white eyes and white lips. This looked exactly like a... Nix!
"Hello, Master Nagrom," The Nix said with a childlike voice, I guess that's how Nixie's voice is, I thought "It is rare to see you bring someone down here, an elf a vampire, or perhaps a fellow dwarf. I know! A dark elf," the Nix said enthusiastically, cutting off the old dwarf that I supposed was 'Nagrom'
Nagrom, I thought, dwarfy name
"A human?"
