Going in the olympics is almost every children's dream that are competing in a sport but so many of them don't achieve their dream. About 1 in 100 milion people go to the olympics. Imagine acheiving your dream of making the olympics, having the chance to go three times, win 5 medals and being one of the best olympians worldwide. Well that's me Enzo Buckley. Becoming an olympian wasn't easy. When I was only two years old I started swimming like my life depended on it. My parents seeing the opportunity of having a son that competes in worlwide competition was a good thing for them in their eyes and they enrolled me in advance swimming classes. I love swimming since I was born. When I was at school, I used to be so good that everyone wanted me in their team. I had my share ups and downs but every ignored it because I was perfect in their eyes. Even when I was younger my younger brother Ashton was so jealous of me but he couldn't do anything because I was the favorite and not him. My other younger brother Logan wanted to be like me but he clearly had not pasion nor talent like me in swimming. He abandoned the idea and countined cheering for me. Everyone thought I had it easy because I had the looks, the talent, popularity, high class family and so on. I constantly used to judge myself and pushed myself to do things I didn't want to but I never thought to much about it because everybody would brush it off. When I was a teenerger I competed in every championship. When I turned 16 they reconised me and told me I should try qualifying for the Olympics and I did. I still remember qualifying for the olympics for the first time like it was yesterday. I was so over joyed of the news because I thought I was never gonna make it. The others were happy for me but they acted like they knew I was gonna go in the Olympics anyways. I brushed it off like I always do. When we were finally informed of the dates it would take place, I checked the dates only to realise I was gonna celebretate my birthday while being in the Olympics. My birthday is on August 5th 1995. Having the chance of having my brithday during the olympics only determined me to win medals especially since I was going to be competing the 200 meters swimming race the same day of my birthday. Then it finally came the time to arrive in Toronto. It was one of the best days of my life telling myself I acheived my dream at such a young age. I later met my teamates that were in team USA in swimming just like me. It was also the day I met one of my idols and best friend Jessica Smith. She was making her first Olympics as well just like me. She was 17 years old at the time. I used to watch her during competitions for woman because I was impressed with her. We quickly hit off. She liked my personality and I liked being with her even trough the time we had together was pretty limited. She understood me and I understood her. It's like having a real friend. She came to watch me compete and I did the same for her. The first time, I did the 100 meters swimming competion in the olympics, I was saddened to know I didn't make it to the finals. It wasn't until on my birthday that I felt extremely confident and detertimed to win a gold medal. Lucky for me I won the gold medal. I remember crying because I was so happy and proud of myself for doing this. Everyone congratulated me. I broke the record of the yougest swimmer in the USA team to win gold with a time record of 45 seconds at the 50 meters race. With the 2012 Toronto Olympics being over everyone spectulated I was dating Jessica Smith because they pictured me close with her. I denounced the rumors because it wasn't true but there was still some people specatulating rumors about me and my olympian friend. I decided to ignore it since I had to focus and practice for the next Olympics. I won 4 medals : 2 golds, 1 silver and 1 bronze at the 2016 Johannesburg Olympics making me one of the best olympians of all time. It was after the 2016 Olympics that actress Nevaeh Steward approched me to become friends. I agreed and we started spending time together so much that we realised we had feelings for one other. We decided to try and start dating. It wasn't long that we were asked if we were dating to witch we both said yes in our interviews. This news blocked the people from spectulating I was dating my best friend. Now of days I can't spend time with those two woman that are important to me because of my training for the olympics. Today it is July 21 2020 and I am currently at the airport saying my goodbyes to my family and my girlfriend one last time because it is time for my departure of my third apperance in the olympics. The 2020 Washington Olympics. As I start to walk away from my family I think about how my third apperance in the olympics is gonna be like.
