Zac didn't stop till he was on top of Valentine. Normally this would never phase him, but his mind wasn't in a good state as it was. His breathing hitched, and his heart started to race. The feeling of when Shaw was over him like this flashed over his mind. The tears he had held back all this time began to flow. Upset with himself even more because he couldn't get himself to stop.
"Don't touch me." He cried. "Don't fucking touch me."
He pushed Zac away as he placed the palms of his hands flat on Zac's chest and pushed as hard as he could to get him to back up.
All the strength he had in him went into that push. Zac shockingly stumbled back at the jolt.
"Geeze, I wasn't going to."
"Don't . . . touch . . . me," Valentine whispered out as he dropped to the floor.
He didn't want to admit it, but Shaw had broke him. He was a complete mess. The only other person Valentine knew here was Zac, so maybe that's what brought him in here. Everyone else steered clear of him since the day he got here. He was associated with Zac, and all of them were afraid of him. So by default, he was also exiled from them.
Valentine wasn't about to bring himself to Shaw in hopes it would ease his omega. He wouldn't allow Shaw the satisfaction of that to happen. He chose to suffer in silence.
"Hey." Spoked Zac in a more calm state, kneeling next to him. His hand hovered over Valentine for what felt like the longest time before he made contact.
Light in his touch as he ran his heavy hand along the center of his back. Valentine flenched and pulled away from him but soon gave into it.
"I didn't want it," Sobbed Valentine.
He had pulled his legs in close to his chest, balling himself up on the cool floor.
"I know," sighed Zac. "I have to say though you gave up a hell of a fight."
Valentine peeked up at him with wonder.
"Shaw's face is fucked." He laughed, not that an unwanted mark was something to laugh about. "Busted his nose pretty good too."
Just about everyone in the building knew that Valentine didn't go down easy. He fought Shaw to the very end. The other omega's who worked here thought such behavior was stupid of him, that he had only made things worse for himself. The alphas were to either side. Some impressed at his actions, and the rest fell to the same side as Shaw.
"Com'on let's get you up." Zac grabbed Valentine's good arm and assisted him to his feet.
"You sound impressed." Commented Valentine as he sat on the couch. He brushed his wet cheeks with the back of his hands. "And I'm only crying because of what he did. Otherwise, this would never happen. I don't cry."
"I am impressed. Not common to have someone stand up to Shaw like that. And an omega of all people too. And I know." He sighed again.
Valentine took a moment to collect himself. He found it very hard to get centered, his emotions were all over the place so were his pheromones. Valentine's body hadn't taken kindly to this bond at all.
"So, what did you mean by me being your shit?" Asked Zac in a better manner than he had done originally.
He wasn't going to lie. He got a little excited when Valentine said those words. His mind was quick to think that maybe Valentine liked him more than he let on. The two of them took a while to see eye to eye, and even now, they still had their issues, but it was better than any other relationship he had a the moment or had for a long while now.
"It's nothing really." Valentine spoke as he tried to push it off again. "I'm more. . . . "
"Tell me, please." Zac used please without being told to.
Valentine started to fidget with the bottom of his shirt. He couldn't tell you while he was so worried about telling Zac. It wasn't like it was against his contact or anything. Shaw never said he couldn't tell anyone.
"Shaw may have hired me to play a role for you." He stated and looked up at Zac. So, he could gauge his reaction, "At first, he wanted me to mimic someone named Asher. Told me you had a liking for him and that all I had to do was be like him, and then he would have you back. But we butted heads, you lost that first fight, and that pissed him off obviously. So I dropped the act and started to be more of myself."
Well as, much of himself as he could be here. Shaw still had his rules. Valentine broke a few of them on a daily.
Zac held up his hand, "So Shaw hired you to replace Asher in hopes of keeping me on top." He could put two and two together.
Valentine nodded his head. "He wanted me to be the reason you won. Even though you won the last fight, it wasn't good enough for him. He snapped and came after me. He said he was done playing nice after you lost in the last fight he wasn't . . . I . . . I tried to fight him off but he . . . . " Shaw had won.
"He only marked you because Asher was bonded to him. I wanted Asher. " His tone was surprisingly cool for the state his mind was in.
Zac told himself he shouldn't be surprised by Shaw's actions. He was pretty sure if it worked in the past that it would work just the same now.
"I didn't know . . . . this was what I would be signing myself up for. I thought Shaw just wanted me to play puppet for a little while. Wait tables when needed. Not . . . this. . . " Valentine motioned to his neck.
The bond wasn't a permanent thing. A single bite didn't make them mates for life, but it would forever alter Valentine. He would always have a connection to Shaw.
"So this is just a job for you," Zac commented, nodding his head.
Valentine didn't like him. He was just working. Huffing as he shook his head, wondering how stupid could he actually be. Of course, Valentine didn't like him. No one did besides Shaw, but Shaw only cared about what he could do for him and nothing more.
Zac huffed he was too broody to ever find someone that would put up with him. Least of all an omega that he already tried to kill once.
Zac came into play in Fight Night. Now he has his own love story with Valentine.
(This story takes places after the original story, which doesn't need to be read to understand this one but would flow better if Fight Night was read piror.)
Zac a hot headed alpha who learns his current ways won't get him the life he wants, but is he willing to change what he knows and believes to have it.
Valentine an omega who signs up for more than he can handle. Will he be able to figure his way out and before it all destrories him?
