TODAY IT HAS BEEN THREE YEARS SINCE I STARTED WORKING ON ANTECEDENT!!!! WOOO!!
Today three years ago I made my first sketch of Blade (I sadly don’t have access to the sketchbook it’s in right now), along with a two other characters (only one made the cut to be in the current story). A few months later, on September 13-14, I think, I created Nami. They both had separate stories until around November. Then I started to write a book about them, merging their stories together. I stopped writing the book, but the story still evolved into what it is now! Mari (the one who hasn’t been introduced yet), is definitely one of the newer characters in the story. She was created on July 20 last year, right before I finished the first draft of my cancelled book.
The story, setting, and themes have changed a lot. For example, Antecedent used to be a more sci-fi fantasy, while now it’s just plain fantasy. When I first started writing the book, a lot of the current lore had not been properly established, which led to confusing writing later on.
This is fricking amazing. Honestly, I didn’t think this story would last. My previous project before this one, titled Out of Time, never got a proper ending, as I quit midway through the series. I really hope this story will get to where I want it to be! Thank you for reading this far!
[TO BE REBOOTED]
Blade is a mute half-demon, who lives in the forests in the Realm of Malaoh. Besides the voices in his head always nagging him, it’s a (mostly) peaceful life.
Nami is a mage who becomes stuck in Malaoh after casting an incomplete spell. After she concludes that the spell didn’t kill her, she sets out to find a way home.
When the two meet, problems emerge. And things get even worse when a woman known as the “Puppet Maker” begins following them.
